Today my favourite villager (Jeremiah) asked to leave. Obviously I said no, but I can’t help but feel a sense of betrayal. Whenever i see him I think of the times we laughed, we cried, the times I nursed him back to full health. Jeremiah where did we go wrong? Safe to say I no longer trust the little frog.

Phew, had to get that off my chest

Whether your relationship with your villager is high or not the game automatically picks a villager to want to move out

It has nothing to do with friendship

Is Jeremiah still available? I would love to have him on my island and would be willing to trade bells or NMTs for him!
It sounds like OP wasn’t letting Jeremiah move out in the first place. I would try looking at the New Neighbor Network to see if anybody there is willing to let him go for you. :)

"Nursed him back to health"
I hope you don't mean breastfeeding:oops:

Awww feels bad. Idk why villagers you take care of with all your heart will ask to leave... why couldn't nintendo just have villagers you ignore leave? I know that feeling when best boy/girl wants to leave tho...

Do you have a source for that? What are the specifics? I've been waiting for the REAL reports to come out on this.

id been intentionally ignoring three of my villagers without tt and then on “move out day “ (every second Thursday for me) one of the only 2 villagers I talk to wanted to leave.
tt ahead and back to that day and it was a different villager
did it again and different villager same “day”

it’s totally random

What, nursed back to health means that? Wow I’ve been using that phrase wrong for years then

Have anyone figured out the exact mechanics of villagers/friendship/moving out? I thought the game picks randomly? I know in my wife's island, one of the villagers that she interacted the most, assuming building friendship compared to others, requested to move out first before ones that she shunned.

im sorry but WHAT ive never seen anyone interpret the extremely common phrase "nurse back to health" the way you did. that's wild
nurs•ing nûr′sĭng

  • n.
    The profession of a nurse
  • adj.
Supplying or taking nourishment from, or as from, the breast
Context is everything in English

i was gutted when my first move out request ever came from one of my two favorite villagers that i wanted to keep. I was tempted to let her move out for a second lol.
