I recently went to a restaurant with my friends and I've honestly haven't had service quite like that.

20 minutes after we took our seat, the waitress still hadn't given us our menus so we had to get our own. I could understand if the restaurant was packed or something, BUT THERE WERE ONLY 3 OTHER GROUPS OF PEOPLE THERE?? She really couldn't just give us our damn menus after we sat down? It only takes a few minutes! When we were ready to order, she was sassing me about ordering a burger with just cheese. Its not my fault you turd munchers don't have thousand island sauce, or sliced pickles. So we all placed our orders and when she brings my friend her bbq wings, THEY DIDN'T PUT THE SAUCE ON IT. THE MOST IMPORTANT PART OF BBQ WINGS AND THEY COULDN'T DO THAT RIGHT?! She didn't even apologize or anything, she just gave her more wings that had barely any sauce. Needless to say, she didn't get a very good tip.

So I have to ask, has anything like this happen to you? This is the first time ever I've ever received such crappy service.

Sometimes in shops, if I'm buying something, the person at the counter barely acknowledges me. I try not to take it personally though; they might have a lot going on in their life, and if they don't have the emotional energy to be cheery to me, that's okay.

I've had a lot more customers be really rude to me as a customer service-person than I've had service staff be rude to me when I've been a customer.

I did and sadly most of my bad experiences are from restaurants. I once had this lady sit us down, bring our food and not once did she give us any cutlery to use. I was like "Excuse me. Are we suppose to be eating these with our hands?" She just looked at me with this really *****y look on her face and then said "I'll go get some."
I wanted to punch her in the face.

i don't know if it's the worst, but it stands out in my mind. my mom and i decided to drop in on this small korean chicken shop after doing something. it was spontaneous too, because we were going to get sushi at the place next door. we forgot the sushi place was still closed at that time, so we decided to drop in on the chicken place next door. it's not the best looking restaurant, but i had heard a lot of good things about their food.

so we order at the register and the old guy, who's the owner apparently, waits for us to decide. but while he's waiting, he feels the need to tell us that we should order over the phone first so we don't have to wait for like 20 minutes or however long it took. i mean, he doesn't know we stopped in spontaneously, so whatever. we order and stuff, and we sit down to wait. i swear he ends up hounding us repeatedly about ordering over the phone while we wait, and i don't understand what his problem is?? like there's literally two other people in the shop and we're the ones waiting!! not him!!

idk it just ended up making us feel really awkward, like he didn't want us there. the chicken was alright, but not good enough to deal with some cranky old dude. i didn't realize this place was known for terrible customer service until i looked at yelp afterwards. apparently the way he treated us wasn't even bad compared to the other things people've dealt with (like he screams at people who don't abide by their "rules" for eating there??) anyway, there's like 10 korean chicken places around here, so he should check himself.

She probably would've been a bit nicer if you'd said "excuse me, could we have some cutlery please?". It was her mistake, but you were rude first.

Same. It was kinda rude.

Once, me and my family were at a restaurant we had been to for ages, and the next day my sister was really ill. The customer services refused to state the sources of the ingredients, and when we emailed the comany stating "I don't plan to return here after this", you know what they sent as compensation?
Vouchers for the restaurant.

I could've been nice, but why would I? You weren't there, so you don't know. The waitress was rude and *****y before we even sat down. Me stating out a fact isn't me being rude. I shouldn't have to ask for cutlery. I didn't call her names, and I didn't say "can we have some ****ing cutlery please you worthless human?!"
I was sarcastic sure, but not rude. I'm there paying for someone to cook my food and to serve it to me. She has one job and she failed at it. Needless to say I've gone back there several times since and have never seen her working there again. If you're in the costumer service industry, learn to put a smile on your face and keep it that way til your shift is done.

I had such bad service at a restaurant before but this is probably the worst. The waitress who sat us down said she'd get us our menus. Five minutes later, we look around the room for her and she's smiling and talking to this guy at the bar. We get up and talk to the manager who tells us sorry and goes to talk to her. She comes back mad at us and just puts the menus on the table and leaves without saying a word. We find out what we want and she of course doesn't come back for twenty minutes. My friend had to get up again and find the manager. The manager apologizes again and says she'd be over soon enough. She comes back five minutes later and goes "What do you want?" in a non-friendly tone. We then ask her to fill our drinks and she says she'll be back. She never came back. We had to ask a waiter if her could help us and he said he'd do it immediately which he did. She delivered our plates and we ate without having any refills or visits (from her) during our meal.

After our meal, we tipped $0.00 to her but we did get up and tip the waiter who helped us.

I only remember those times where i had the best customer service xD i think around two-three times <3 i love those people xD

i think i would have reacted the same way as the waitress, if she made a mistake was there any reason to be sarcastic?

she's only a human like you, and tbh she probably gets rude comments like this thrown at her all day.

It wasn't a rude comment, it was a sarcastic request. What she thinks of the request matters not. She's a waitress and her job is to serve me my food with a smile on her face. From the very start she was *****y. I asked her about the missing cutlery from the very beginning(and nicely as well) which then she responded with "we bring them out with the food, so just wait". The cutlery thing wasn't the only thing she did wrong. She got the order wrong, she made us wait while talking to another co-worker, etc... If there's a list of things not to be done by waitresses, I'd say she checked most of the things on that list, before I was even "rude" to her. None of you know what happened because you weren't there, you just all sit there assuming that I'm the one that was rude and judging it all based on a short reply to a thread. What normal human being would sarcastically ask for cutlery unless said human being was already annoyed?! It wouldn't make any sense. It's not like I was having a bad day, went in there and was *****y to the waitress for no reason at all. The sarcastic request she got was well warranted.

^ lol yeah I worked as a hostess and a server. How the **** do you forget the silverware. What restaurant doesn't allow silverware before the meal. Glad she's gone. What a ******. And to be upset at you about it? I would've laughed a bit depending on the look on your face to see if your mood was okay cause that's pretty funny. She should have said sorry. I know servers have it rough, but that's no excuse to be rude EVER to a customer.

My experience is no where as bad, but I am hurt by it 'til this day. I was at Carl's Jr that's at my college. This Carl's Jr.'s cups taste so weird. You can taste cardboard in your drink! But i went there cause I REALLY wanted some chicken before I got home, and maybe, just maybe, their cups don't taste weird this time. And I hoped the shatty manager wasn't working the cashier today. Unfortunately, he's cashiering today! I'm always friendly, I smile at people, and normally they smile back. This guy had a never ending poop face, like he normally does. I can't exactly remember what thing he did that pissed me off, but I definitely remembered why I never order from this Carl's Jr. Anyway, I get my order, my drink tastes like cardboard essence infused Dr.Pepper and they forgot my fries with my chicken strips! I couldn't go back to make them fix this cause I was already home. The only other time a restaurant had epically ruined Dr.Pepper for me was the many McDonald's in Las Vegas who had run out. But the fact this Carl's Jr. messed up the two things I love the most, potatoes and Dr.Pepper. I went ape **** and made everyone listen to my story.

All the jobs I've ever done are in customer service, so I'm pretty forgiving when a person is obviously not having the best day - which, honestly, is almost every customer service person you run into.

However, one experience that really rubbed me the wrong way was when I called the customer service to my bank, just wanting to change my address, and I was told this; "the account number you gave me cannot be correct, our accounts all start with an 'XXX'." I work at a bank, my parents have been working at banks my whole life. I know what an account number is and how to read my check for that information. But this guy wouldn't even even humor me by trying to look me up using the numbers I gave him. I ended up giving him my other information, and he realized I had been a customer for a long time and had an old account number. I didn't give him a review after the call, but I really should have. It feels pretty bad to be treated like a lesser person just because I'm young.

Currently in the process of it. Been waiting for a replacement side panel for my PC case from NCIX for almost four months now. Every time I contact them they say they still don't have the unit and that Corsair is sometimes slow in getting single components to them. I've only been emailing about the issue until now. Going to call and request an immediate solution tomorrow.

okay but its not our fault you didn't give us any more information than you did about everything she did wrong? if you make a post on a forum don't be surprised if people join in with their comments, bc it's kind of how a forum works.

I believe in other countries, tips are already counted into your payment which can be a problem if you don't want to tip or the service was bad.

I live in the U.S. so people here are expected to tip waiters, hair dressers, etc. In my situation, if the girl had gotten a tip, I would have been mad. I usually try to tip 15%-20% but that time, hell no.
