World Children's Day Items?

Hello! I have a question- what are these items supposed to be:

Are they region exclusive? I think they are really cute, but I cannot find any information about it and the only thing I see is that they are being sold for extreme amount of tickets and bells (RIP). Also, I think they are a children's day item, but I am not sure. Thank you! c:

They are for International Children's Day, but I assume the items going around right now are from TT (or maybe even hacking?). I have a Japanese Switch/account/game and I don't have them in the seasonal tab of Nook Shopping (only the Mother's Day mug), and Children's Day isn't until the 5th. I can check again for you then, though.

Yep, +1. Children's Day isn't until the 5th. Because of the word international in there, I'm not sure if these are region exclusive or not? We'll just have to wait and see.

I think intl implies that it's International and means that it will be available for everyone just like the mug.
At least, that's what I hope.

Any updates to what day this is in Japan? Children’s day has passed in Japan and none of my Japanese friends have seen it. I heard from someone that maybe it’s june? Trying to pin down what day here.

I searched about it bc I honestly thought mom just gave those, but I was wrong so I was interested. It seems that World's Children Day is in 20th November, but if it was just time-travelling, the prices wouldn't be so high, so I would guess these items are in the game's code like the wedding items. It's just suppositions, I couldn't find any information.

But people have them. I heard that people are just TTing to get it. Maybe because the date is unknown and getting it requires actually checking the seasonal tab on that day AND you have to have a Japanese copy means not a lot of people are picking up on it. Are you sure about November 20? This is my first time hearing that.

i’ve seen people looking for the handmade crown and i thought it was an able sister’s item i think somebody said children’s day was may 5th but i didn’t see any exclusive items besides the mother’s day mug so idk ;u;

It is 100% not May 5. I am confident at this point it is a seasonal catalog exclusive for Japan. Date unknown. Have to find someone with the Japanese region to verify the date ordered.

I saw those cute items as well. I was wondering how you'd get them and just expected them to come around some season. I really wish they'd stop with region exclusive items. Fortunately you can still get them through trading. But the data is in the game, so why not just make it possible to get no matter where you live? Oh well. I wouldn't actually be using these things, but it would be nice to collect.

Okay, since people keep asking and I gave up on not TT-ing, I tried to find these items (I am in Japan, have Japanese account/Switch/game). As you already know, the items were not in the game for Japanese Children's Day (May 5th). UN Children's Day November 20, so I went to the first and the 20th of November, and there was no seasonal tab. I also went to Nook's Cranny and Able's and there was nothing for sale there either. Many other countries celebrate in June, so I TTed to June 1 and 20. Again, no seasonal tab or anything in Nook's or Able's. So I don't think the items can be obtained simply by going to a certain date; I think the seasonal tab must be activated server-side.

They're too cute D: I was hoping there would no longer be region exclusive items T_T So it's basically impossible for me to get those items I guess Too bad cuz I saw a person wearing the crown and I LOVED it immediately and I was excited for whenever I happened up it, which I now know will be never.
