Words can't describe my frustration right now...

Recently, I lost my first island which I had since day 1 due to a issue with my Switch Lite. Of course this was a not really nice experience and my frustration was big when this happened. Thinking that the issue was fixed, I started later a new island, after I needed a bit of time to get my motivation back playing the game again. And when I thought I was back on track with my new island and all... Today, my Switch Lite decided to say farewell to me once and for all. Stupid thing crashed, didn't turn on anymore, basically died. As if my day didn't started bad already, with having a headache and my internet break down for about 10 hours, this was just a punch in the face. Angry as I was, I got to the town, into the shop where the console got bought, explained the employees there my problem. They couldn't help me directly, so they said that they will check the Switch and see if it can be fixed somehow, in the main time, I can go home and they will phone me once a solution was found. Long story short, they just phone me back a moment ago, saying that the motherboard seems to be faulty and they have to send it to Nintendo to fix it proper. It can take a while till it gets fixed because of Corona and such.

Yeah, I was about to scream.

Luckily, a family member wants to help me out now and I'm getting a new Switch Lite tomorrow, in exchange I will give them mine once it's back from Nintendo. This at least made my day a little bit better...

Well, and with that, I lost my second island. Two islands in total, down the toilet. My villagers - gone. My IGB and all the items I collected - gone. The whole progress in general - gone. I mean, back in New Leaf, I reset my town so often, it shouldn't be such a big problem for me to create another island. Then again, with NH, I didn't wanted to reset at all, I wanted to stick with one island and work on that one. And honestly, it's kinda hard for me to get back so fast into the game as it was in NL, mainly because of the tutorial week and so on. Guess I will start island number 3 then and hope that this one will finally survive... -_-

I hope nobody else had to deal with such bad luck as me. And if there is anyone who has such an experience, how did you dealt with it?

Btw, sorry for this rant, I had to get that out of my mind...

That really sucks! I hope Nintendo come out with the cloud save thing soon to prevent things like this from happening.
At least now you might know even more what you want for your island layout, stuff like that.

Also, If you're starting a new game and need a bit of help with IGB or NMT im completely happy to give you a couple million bells or some NMT to find your dreamies! I'd love to help you out

I can’t imagine the amount of frustration, especially with an already bad day like that. Sorry to hear you lost your progres twice; that must be incredibly demotivating.

I had a similar thing happen, I had my island all done and I had decent villagers and then I ended up time travelling and regretted it so restarted (which was my own fault obviously) so I lost all that progress. After I reset it was all going well until my save got deleted and not on purpose and I had to restart yet again. However, now my luck is crazy and I got Raymond, audie, Skye, fauna, Erik, sherb and merengue with barely any effort and all naturally obtained. They are not my dreamies but they are popular villagers and I love them

I'm so sorry to hear that. That's especially frustrating since I consider the Switch Lite to be such a new system. It seems odd that it would just die like that.

If there's anything I can do to help, I'd be glad to. I have plenty of extras of Bunny Bunny day stuff, and some leftovers from the spring/cherry blossom stuff.

This doesn't make it any better, but just take a deep breath, start over, and take it one step at a time. I know it's got to be devastating/frustrating, but maybe starting over will have a silver lining.

so sorry you had to experience that :c starting fresh after deleted progress is frustrating, but take it slow!! animal crossing is supposed to relax you, to take your mind off of the horrible things going on right now, so enjoy it!
