Wishes ?

I don't know if this had been answered before but...
Do your birthday wishes actually come true ?

On my previous town I wish to have Bianca but completely forgot about it. But then I sold my town to create a fresh new one...and Bianca was here !
So is this just pure luck ? Or is it related to the wish ? I really don't know.
If it's related to the wish then can you wish something else ? And so what ?

Not that I am aware of, but if you tell your villagers your wish... they will never forget it and ask you about it constantly until your next birthday

I'm pretty sure it's just a cute bit of in-game text though. I kinda wish you could wish for tangible game things and you might have it come true, like with the shooting star wishes.

I'm choosing to keep it secret this April. For an entire year I've put up with ten villagers asking several times a day about it.

If they start saying, after selecting to keep it secret, "How is your secret birthday wish going?".. then I will delete my town, and never play another AC game again.

So.. if anyone knows if they still ask about your birthday wish, reguardless of whether it's a secret or not; tell me now.

The past two days has been insane.
It's the ONLY thing they've talked about.

Maybe because my birthday is in April, and they want to drive me more batty than I've already become.

A whole year of this.
