I already stopped playing some time ago but yes, I'll likely stop my cycling town too. But til then its going strong :) I've never played two ac games at once.

i'm too attached to new leaf tbh, i got it when i was 10 or so. plus i don't have a switch at the moment but then again it's coming out next year
i'm mostly just upset due to the switch's lack of streetpass, i loved forcing my ugly villagers i kicked out of my town to people at school

I'll probably play it until I have ACS in hands, but when that'll happen I'll probably stop for a pretty long time, yes

Best game I've ever played, will keep playing for many, many more moons.

I am delighted that Nintendo has supported New Leaf for as long as they have, with lots of great updates, even 4 to 5 years after it's release, and even making the Amiibo update free, that was awesome and really breathed new life into an already great game.

I put way too much time and effort into my towns then to just stop playing them completely lol. Especially when my other 2 towns aren't done yet. I may play less, but not completely.

I put over 2,000 hours into this game, that's a lot of effort lol I am excited for next year though!

Y'all where's the "I have already dropped new leaf hard after thousands of hours" option lol

No way will I abandon it. I actually stopped buying new systems after our PS4. Games being released these days are incomplete and full of bugs. That way, the makers can constantly sell you 'new' parts of the game and their microtransaction dollar amount rises and rises. Remember when a game was just a game? You bought it, you played it, you loved it? There wasn't another hundred bucks or so of add-ons. Honestly, I think the idea of a new game is totally exciting, but I am pretty sure I can live without it if it means having to purchase a Switch.

Even though a new Animal Crossing on the Switch is going to be exciting, it's going to be hard to simply move on after putting so much work and time into my town. :D Plus I still have a handful of friends who plan on playing New Leaf for a while.

I'll be honest. I'm going to abandon my New Leaf town like it ain't no thang. I love New Leaf, but I'm jonesin' for that AC on the Switch.

Yes, as I have too busy of a schedule to keep playing multiple Animal Crossing games at once, unfortunately.

Okay, I responded to this already but Im going to revise it.

When I get my gaming computer (hopefully sometime next year) I will more than likely abandon New Leaf, but not because of the Switch or any new Animal Crossing games, but because I will be playing Sims. And to be honest, Im a PC gamer. I dont really care much for handheld or consoles likes PS4 or Wii.

So yeah I will be abandoning New Leaf, because Sims will take over my gaming life. But the abandoment will not happen for a while yet.

No. As long as the Wi-fi is up and I still feel like taking care of it, no.

Also I can't afford a Switch even less pay for that dumb internet thing so yeah keepin me on 3ds now.

I gotta say it's nice to see so many people will still be dedicated to New Leaf. It just widens the community more that way I think, even if I won't be one of them. Hm, maybe if there are enough people still playing New Leaf in the future I'll keep my cycling town in place after all :)

Probably so.

I had fun playing New Leaf over the years, but once the new AC game comes out, I’ll be done with ACNL and move on. I already abandoned Wild World when New Leaf came out. I abandoned the GameCube version when I started playing Wild World.

Probably won't abandon it till I make up my mind on the new game. I need to see all the new features and the villagers. Gotta see what I'm gaining and losing. Plus I don't have the money for the system, game and online play.

Yesterday's Direct verified that there will be an AC in 2019 so, for me, it's a wait 'n see. I've already reached burnout with NL due to having so MANY towns and every couple of days now one gets wiped. The only town that gets played now is 2018 that I made a commitment to play every day starting on 1 January. That one will continue until at least 31 December but, after that....Probably just put all the cartridges back in their boxes with a note with all the dates/times, etc...put them in a large box and may even give up gaming altogether.. Wait 'n see...
