Will you abandon New Leaf?

Well?

I will never abandon this game ever! Even if I cannot wait for the new one, and I hope it will be out very soon, I will still always check my little NL town atleast once in a while and make sure everyone is happy ^^

Well seeing as though the next Animal Crossings game will likely be for the Switch and since I don't have nor want a Switch, highly unlikely I will be abandoning New Leaf.

No, but only because your question was "when they announce the new ac" because that would means a few things
1. It could be a spin off
2. It's just the announcement.
But I'd definitely play ac switch over Acnl when I get it for 2 big reasons
1. Wii u and 3ds internet is on the fritz for a year or 2 meaning I can't reliably play online with anyone here :( but the switch doesn't have this problem ( actively playing in splatfest rn )
2. I'm already diverting my gaming to Xenoblade X and switch in general so ac switch will complement my habit nicely :)

So yes and no.

Same, they are terribly overpriced where I live and I'm not gonna pay extra just for going online. So unless they lower prices and remove that dumb pay to play online thing, I'll keep my NL copy thank you.

I might still play it after getting bored from the new one lol

Probably not for a few reasons.

1. I don't own a switch and do not want one.
2. New leaf is a great game, so the next one would have to be better.
3. It'll likely be too expensive for me.

Like someone said earlier it's a big investment.

yes, I plan to. I think it's natural to enjoy the new games in the series as they are released. They are (usually, hopefully), improvements and upgrades from the previous titles. There's always that chance that I could choose to play one of the older games, but it's nothing I would probably play in depth again.

Nah, nowadays I've been playing everyday to get the daily ore and update my Dream Town for bells at least. If a new game is announced for Nintendo Switch, I may consider getting the Switch and play AC:NL less; but I won't fully stop tho

I'd probably play less if I did get the new AC. It all just depends on where they go from here in terms of if I'll get it. Because I don't think I'm trying to get a switch just for a couple of games honestly.

But ACNL is definitely my favorite installment in the series and I still have a lot to do with my town, so I'll probably still be playing for a while yet. I also want to get a second town, which shows how much I adore this game.

i don’t have a Switch, so i can’t actually get the next big animal crossing game

if i did, yeah i would abandon.

I always eventually abandon my towns when newer versions come out. I mean, I'm not playing WW or City Folk on the regular anymore, so yeah. But I still like to visit them occasionally. I don't think my New Leaf town will be any different. I won't entirely leave it behind, but I will definitely play a lot less when a newer version is released.

I have a Switch that is waiting for the next iteration of AC. I'll make my decisions based upon experience instead of premature speculation.

i still play all of the animal crossing titles pretty frequently so no. i dont know if ill even be able to afford a switch so im not sure if ill be able to get the next game.

Can't say because sadly I don't have any of my old animal crossing games even though I've played multiple ones. I MIGHT still have city folk save on my Wii u, who knows. But if the switch is a lot better new leaf will pretty much be abandoned after a while.

It doesn’t take a lot to get me to drop animal crossing because it becomes a chore and i am easily distracted. So yes.

It’ll prob become like wild world where i’ll pick it up for a few weeks every year or so

The new Switch AC game would be my main game if ever it comes out soon. I'd probably still check my older towns, not as often but I won't entirely abandon them. I'm just gonna be more focused on the new game or say, my newest town. I'll treat it the same way as making a new town just like making another town on New Leaf. Also, I almost always play in docked mode, but in this case, I think I'd prefer playing AC in a smaller screen/handheld mode.

Do I want to buy a new Animal Crossing game in the future? Propably yes, if it looks good and has some new features in it. I wouldn't stop playing New Leaf though, new games don't just replace the old ones, that's what I think.

Do I want to buy Switch just to play Animal Crossing only? No.
