Will villagers plot on a fake rock?

Do you mean the rock that ore comes out of? Can't you just hit the rock with a shovel so it disappears?

In my experience no they won't :(. I tend to leave the rock alone if it's in an out of the way place or somewhere I don't want a plot for that reason.

Not while plot resetting as it will just appear again when you turn off the game without saving.

No, I don't think. I was plot resetting Tex and I tried to put the villager characters house near a fake rock, but Nook wouldn't let me build because it was too close to the fake rock.

I agree with those that have posted above. I've had the same problem you're describing. And if you load up and existing character to break that troublesome rock, you'll have the move-in plotted permanently. Although, I thought that if you make a new character every time attempting to plot-reset, the rock might sometimes spawn in a new place? I may be wrong - especially if you've got lots of flowers and things covering the ground.

although while plot-resetting, the fake rock does reset as well. it just might be troublesome trying to reset for the plot and the rock!

This is what I had to do when I plot resetted for a villager and make a new OC once. Just remember to not break the ore rock before you plot reset.

Exactly. I think... I don't plot reset and don't understand it at all, but it seems the logical thing to do:) I'm probably wrong... In fact don't listen to me:)

Just tt 1 day back and break the rock and then do our plot Resseting again :) because it doesn't realy load it yet :) I have done this before .

The rock is definitely gonna be reset with the house. I had this issue quite often when I was plot resetting for pekoe and Cousteau. The fake rock had little space to go to since I had so many pwps and flowers and tiles everywhere so it usually went into the 3x3 area that I planned for the expected villagers. Just keep plot resetting. They were in a bad spot anyways so what's a little bit more time to get them into perfect spots. The fake rock will just respawn in a different place just like the house, it's normal for it to do that since its a new day. So just have more patience and keep at it! It took me 2 days to plot reset Cousteau mainly because of that reason but I just kept resetting.

When your plot Resseting it doesn't load the game so u can tt backwards and break it and continue plot Resseting the next day I have done this before and even seen people make guides about of it lol..

When you go to a new day, a new fake rock will respawn. So either way, there's not much you can do about it. Breaking the rock the previous day won't affect the rock the next day.

Unless the rock has spawned the day before..
Because is it was a new day it would place the rock in different places so it must be a rock from the day before.

There's no way to change the date unless you load up the game. And I guess the rock was already there before I started plot resetting because its not moving.

This isn't true. When you select to play your mayor character you can change the time by going to the "I need help first..." option then "Set the time." The game will only load if you select the "Yes let's/lets begin" option. You can also just change the 3DS clock to the previous day and then when you start your game will be at that time.

After you break the pesky rock I suggest you put some items or flowers you don't mind getting destroyed where you want your villager to plot to block another rock from spawning there
