Will I get the worst town status if I chop all my trees down?

So I reset sort of recently and I want to make my town look nice but I don't really know where to start. I read online somewhere that if I chop all my trees down first it will make planning where everything goes and stuff a lot easier. Idk if that's actually true but I'm bored so...

I was just wondering if this will get me the worst town rating since I don't have any pwps yet. And I really don't want that!

yeah, it will. i had this occur with one of my towns. I chopped down all the trees and got a rafflesia the next day, and i didn't understand why since i had no weeds, until someone told me the rafflesia appears anytime you have worst town status.

Oh ok :lemon: What about if I add a couple pwps, if I chop the trees down after then will I still get the worst status?

Yeah, I think it will. As you can see, a factor in the town rating is having the right amount of vegetation, including trees and flowers. You need to have enough but not too many. If you have too little, you could get the worst town status, and same goes for having too many. You need a balance. Maybe you could start by chopping down trees in some areas that you are working on, then replant, and move onto another area?

Just a thought.

Good luck though!

I'm about to do the same thing. You will get the worst town status, but it'll be very easy to clear that. If you ever want rid of the rafflesia just plant some trees either somewhere that you're not working on or along the beach.

Yes, I chopped down almost all of the trees to plot reset.

oh no oh no.
I chopped all my trees down so I wouldn't be bothered by the bugs in the summer!!

It will be so much easier to plan though. A bad town status will only affect you for a few days until you're able to plant more trees

If you plant as many as possible palm trees on the beach you *might* avoid Rafflesia - but in the end the Rafflesia will go away fairly easily - and Rafflesia has the fly flying around it sometimes so you can catch one for your encyclopedia.
