will befriending a villager really make him move? like how's that logical if they like you they wouldn't leave your town...

Yes... the higher the friendship the higher chance that they will ask to move.
If you tell them tomove, the high chance that they will stay.

it doesn't make other sense than to make you suffer, but that's how it works.

Anicotti pinged me once, she refused to leave so i worked friendship with her. Today she pinged again and now she's leaving.

They won't leave because they feel they still have things to do in town etc. And as opposite, they ping more with higher friendships because they feel the accomplished a lot (if not everything) in town and are seeking new stuff (that's what they say, but we all know it's just some sort of programmed piss-for-brain for poor players)

Oh, then how do i keep a certain villager in my town? Lets say a cranky villager, do i then just ignore or him or?? I dont want him to leave.

When they ping to move, just say no!

Tell them to stay when they ask.

Not really, but if you do accidentally say yes, talk to them everyday afterward. They will most likely mention on how "I cant think about how much I don't want to leave" or "Darn its only <number of days> until I move!"
You will have another chance. But if you don't play for a few days and they are in boxes when you do play... you have to cycle 16 before you can get them back.

There's a guide somewhere around here that someone made to prevent villagers from moving if you haven't played for a long time! It involves TT'ing though, I don't know if that'd be a problem for you :c

ok this is bs, the creator of this game obviously has a lack of common sense, but o well, thanks bro !

The game is programmed on the assumption that players will be nice to all villagers and will want to experience as many new villagers in the game as possible. Thus, those with higher friendship are more likely to want to move.
It doesn't make sense in real life and I hope that they change the logic behind programming the game in the future but that's how it works right now.

If you don't play for a few days, there is always a chance that someone will move out. You can only really prevent this if once you do get a "move out" ping, you decline it. You can then stop playing for as long as you want and no one will move in the meantime.
There are other hiatus guides out there but they require fiddling around with the 3ds clock.

If you say yes, and they say thye want to be better friends, turn off the game and try again, keep doing this until they do agree to move, save and dont speak to them again

O well, thank you for the info, but I really wish they had like some certain programmed thing that when you do something to them, they'll be on the safe sight and just stick with ya you know? like what if someone liked a villager and didnt want them to move? If they befriended them they should have made it that they'd just stick with ya all u want since you two are best friends but o well, Im sorry if this doesnt make any sense.
