Is it worth me getting one just for the new Zelda game?
Or should I just wait for their new console to come out?
I absoloutely adore Zelda games, they're my favourite thing to play on the ds along with ACNL.
Just wondering if they're any good?
I've obviously read reviews but I find it easier to actually hear from people what they like or don't like about it and whether it's actually worth the money.
I also don't know how much this NX (or whatever console it will be) will cost, the Wii U is pretty affordable to me right now. Although I guess I could save up.

What do you think?

Just wait.
We know nothing about the new Zelda atm so what's the point on buying a console for just one game we know almost nothing about? The new Zelda could be so bad for all we know. Just wait until the game is actually released before you decide - it's pretty pointless to buy one now/soon if all you're planning on playing is Zelda.

I also suggest that you wait if the new zelda is all you're looking for. we still don't have a clear date on when the game will come out and even if we do there is a chance that it might get delayed yet another time. don't forget there's a chance they might do the same they did with twilight princess and make it available on the new console as well. hell even if it doesn't get ported to the nx the new console might be backwards compatible. we're all still wondering about the new zelda and the nx but all we can do is wait for the big reveal so we can get all our questions answered.

Thanks for the replies, I guess I'll wait a bit. Hoping the console isn't going to be too highly priced. I've only got a portable at the minute so I'm looking for something I can play on my tv after work or in the evenings.
Pretty much all I'd want is Zelda, maybe the Mario kart too....
Will give it a bit of time.
Thank you

If the Wii U is affordable to you, then at least have a look at what other games are on it and see if there's enough to interest you. I don't see the harm in buying a console that seems to be on its way out if there's enough software on it that you still want to play.

But I would suggest holding off until they officially reveal the NX. They're supposed to be doing that sometime this year. If they reveal that it's backwards compatible with the Wii U (which given Nintendo's past, there's a good chance it will be), that would be a good reason to just wait for the NX.

I want to get one for alot of games.... plus i think they are fun

I want:
Splatoon
ACAF (animal crosssing amiibo festival)
Nintendoland
Bayonetta (if my mom allows me)
Disney Infinity

The Wii U is great on its own with some of these titles:

- Smash Bros. 4
- Splatoon
- Mario Kart 8
- Hyrule Warriors
- Super Mario 3D World
- Pokken Tournament (Coming Soon)

Ohhhh, see I would love Hyrule Warriors (waiting for it on the ds), Mario land and kart and super smash bros...
Think I'll give it a bit and see how this NX looks/possible releases for it. Plus the price.
I've not played a Wii for years so thought it might be a good time to start again with it being low in price now
Thank you for all your replies, I really appreciate it
