Wii U Game Suggestions?

I am 99.9% sure I am getting the Wii U for Christmas. I have a couple of games on my list already, but what games do you guys suggest getting?

I am getting a tv for birthday to replace my old Toshiba TV VCR combo. It will hopefully have HDMI which will facilitate Wii U. So unless Nintendo next console is announced, wii u here i come!
I like the look of the splatoon one. Seems fun

If you've got a group I think NintendoLand & Wii Party U are worth it if you can find a cheaper copy at this point or that Wiimote bundle with Wii Party U.
If Rating isn't an issue Bayonetta 1 & 2 combo is awesome, Wii Fit U is great too if you're into that lol.

I'd also suggest Sonic All Stars Racing, DuckTales Remastered and Assassins Creed 3 & Black Flag (Both rated M) since I've got those too but MK8 trumps Sonic Racing and they're all cross platform but they're great on WiiU and Sonic is a good alternative to MK8 but has terrible online especially now that everyone forgot it for Mario Kart....

Rating isn't too much of a problem, just games like GTA my parents don't like me having.

I have black flag on my Wii U and it looks terrible on a HDTV, so I only play it on the game pad. Other than that, it works fine.

The WiiU is 2 years old...I really doubt a new console is being announced any time soon.



Anyways, my recommendations:
- The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD. Among the best Zelda games (my favorite) and a must play if you haven't already.
- Hyrule Warriors. Surprisingly awesome.
- Mario U. Yet another sidescrolling Mario game, but my God is it fun!
- Mario Kart 8. Again, it's just Mario Kart, but it's fun.
- Disney Infinity...If you have a ton of cash to blow.
- Smash Bros.

Those are the games I own anyway so far...Plus 'Wonderful 101', but I've not yet played it so I don't know what it's like.


If you want anything from the Eshop, you may aswell just buy everything. Old Nintendo games are great.

I wouldn't get the Wii U version of Sonic All-Stars Racing Transformed simply for the fact that the PC version is vastly superior over any other. Lots more support, the only original thing you get in the Wii U version is the ability to race as a Mii. Big whoop.

Super Smash Bros. (the best Wii U game so far! great replay value)
Mario Kart 8 (outrageously fun and addicting, great replay value)
Pikmin 3 (beautiful, adorable, and heart warming but also sometimes heart breaking)
Super Mario 3D World (addicting & fun!)
Wind Waker HD (graphically stunning)
Hyrule Warriors (if you like hack & slash games)
Nintendo Land (if you have local multiplayer friends)

I'm probably the only one, but Sonic Lost World was pretty fun too. I wouldn't recommend it unless you were a Sonic fan though, it's definitely not their best.

Someone always has to say Sonic Adventure 2 was the last good Sonic *facepalm*


And lol @ too many suggestions. And extra LOL @ "superior PC Sonic because Football Manager". Almost every single bonus in the PC version feels out of place. Willemus must look ridiculous as well. I don't find more characters would enhance the experience for me, I'm jealous of none of them they don't interest me. It def just needed better online, it's a total local racer for Sega fans at this point. Don't forget it's not as though the 360 offers anything more than the WiiU either, Avatar bonus whoopie.
I'd say it's better than it's predecessor too...

I would play as Danica Patrick with her hot wheels car. Only cause it's the ugly thing and PC gets that too. PC master race omg step aside Xbox and Nintendo. Hey also the PS3 obviously had the worst version because at least Xbox and WiiU got the avatar and mii
