Wii Speak problem.

I have a new Wii now and I was setting up my Wii Speak and forgot how to turn it on. When I get on Animal Crossing can I just turn it on there or do I have to set it up using the Wii Speak channel (which I couldn't find in the shop).

It turns on automatically as soon as you connect to a town or when someone visits.
