I have tried multiple times to connect to a wireless connection, and it keeps saying it can't connect. I checked the Password and it was correct. Do I have to make a wired connection and if yes, how? It'd be great if anyone can help me out here. :D

If you are talking about a regular Wii, then you cannot connect to the internet because they shut down the Nintendo Wi-Fi servers for the Wii and the DS.

It's disappointing, but it's true. Nintendo no longer supports their consoles/handhelds of 7th generation gaming (Wii and DS).

Yes, what they said. You might as well sell your win if you don't play it without Internet, but if you do that's fine. I was really sad when I went to play MK Wii to find it was disabled...

Unless you resort to some third party solution, your Wii games can't officially access online anymore. Though, you can still go to Wii Shop Channel and download some exclusive games from there.

If you're using Wii mini, then you're pretty much out of luck.

I know that WFC has been, I wanna connect to the Internet so I can access the Wii Shop Channel and possibly do a system transfer. Can anyone help me with this?

What error code does your system display?

Yeah NWFC has been out since May 2014 I think...

But it works fine on the Wii U I believe. It sucks, but you need a Wii U to play online again :/

At least for me. I play my wii games on Wii U and Internet works I think..I may be entirely wrong here and remember a Wii moment, or Im terribly right...

So just believe this:the Wii U is the new Wii...

Besides what other members here are saying, you can connect your Wii to the Internet, but only through Netflix, Wii Shop Channel, YouTube, etc.

Firstly, you cannot connect to the Internet using a Wii Mini. That was made to exclusively play Wii games and nothing else.
Make sure you are using a Wii manufactured before May 2010 or a Wii Family Edition in order to connect to the Internet.
When you go to connect to your WLAN, try changing your router's settings to a different security and if that doesn't work out, try it unlocked. If you want to go wired, try buying the Wii LAN Adapter as that will more likely help you connect. If all else fails, look up the error code you receive on support.nintendo.com when it tells you your connection test was unsuccessful as it should direct you to a fix. If all these steps I've listed do not work, contact Nintendo's Support Hotline as you may have a faulty NIC Card in your Wii and they'll arrange a fix for you. :lemon:
