Why won't Rod leave?

Okay. So I've been trying for 4 straight days now, 8 hours a day, time traveling around 100 times everyday to get Rod out, and he won't budge. EVERYONE, and I mean EVERYONE else has asked 4-5 times now.
He won't.
I lost Ruby, a super dreamie because he wouldn't leave.
I got Olaf to ping, and I said move, but ruby had been given away. (I mean it HAD been 4 days. Completely understandable.)
Luckily, I just realized I hadn't saved.


Anyway, why won't he leave?
I hate him so much.
I literally want to kill him right now.

Why do you need him out so badly? I understand hating them for a bad spot (Vic moved right INFRONT of my house once) but it may be better to take a break and do something else in the game.
(Hint tho, Spam talk everyone besides him. Orrrrrrrrrrrrrrr befriend him till he asks to move, 2nd one will take longer but it's more effective)

It took 8+ hours for the person holding my Merengue to get her to ping, so I know how it feels.

This has been proven false many a time. I've had my 10th villagers ping me first plenty a time .-. It's completely RNG, besides the "friendship ladder".

It's ok. It's a common theroy but it has been proven wrong. It can take a little longer to get them out tho

That actually reminds me, OP! As a last resort, create a new character and introduce yourself to everybody. Then, TT day by day and continue to talk to the villagers you want to stay, but ignore the one you want to leave (Rod in this case). He will eventually either just move away without saying anything, or ping you to move within a week (I did this method to get Jambette out of my town *shivers* her lips were taking up too much space).

I'm not sure if that method works however, and I think he said he tried it. I think the RNG gods just hate him rn.
