Why won't Erik ping???

I've tried everything. Stitches told me that Erik was thinking about moving, and I want to stop that but he is not pinging. I've tried saving and quitting the game, I've tried meeting him on my second character and and going back on my mayor, I've tried entering and exiting a building, I've tried saving and quitting and closing my 3ds entirely, I've tried absolutely everything. I want stop him from moving. I don't know when he's moving and I'm panicking. What do I do??

That happened to me today too. Someone told me Muffy wanted to move. I tried passing in front of her, no ping. Tried with alt, no ping. After a couple tries, she finally pinged. There is hope! Keep trying is the only suggestion I can give you

Have you tried talking to him at least once today?

See I got this problem with me once when I try to get a villager who's moving to ping me. I never got a ping until I decide to speak with him and then save and quit and the next time he saw me after that, he finally pinged.

Other than that, I don't really know.. Maybe others know? Hopefully it helps tho

Have you talked to him recently? If you haven't talked to him in about a week, then he won't ping until you are on "speaking terms". I'd talk to him, then save and quit and reload your game and find him. He should ping then. That always works for me.

Yes, I've talked to him plenty and I don't know what to do :/ I'm diving in the ocean right now and waiting for about 15 minutes to see if that works (like people do to get more PWP's) but if that doesn't work then I'm going to get frustrated

Maybe leave it a day and see what happens. I wouldn't recommend time travelling though, though maybe as a desperate last resort? Good Luck ^_^

It's because of the holiday. One of my villagers wouldn't ping during the holiday so I waited the next day.
Do you know when your last moving ping was? If it was just awhile ago than wait till tomorrow.

Two weeks ago I didn't have a mover until the 8th day. That's the longest time I went without a ping.
When the villager pinged he said that was planning on moving in 5 days.

Bruce is trying to move in my town too.... im a little scared its gonna be tomorrow due to my Monster Hunter love, i have been neglecting my town lately and not playing ACNL because of Monster Hunter

I wouldn't TT in case he completely left without a trace. Its probably because of St Patricks day, so just wait till tomorrow ^_^

but then he'll ping most likely because the next day isn't a holiday, right? It's not even working on my second character.

maybe after midnight today, it wont officially be Shamrock Day anymore and he'll ping you then perhaps?

A new day starts at 6 am though, I'm not too sure.

yeah but sounds like you'd rather avoid going to a new day if possible. Thonky says "Receive a Shamrock Hat from Isabelle on the plaza between 6AM and Midnight." so if it IS the holiday preventing him from pinging, then i believe he can ping you after midnight and then you dont risk losing a day from the grace period for stopping a move.

That's true, but that might be when Isabelle just stops appearing at the plaza. I'm not too sure.

Glad everything went fine! Still really weird though that he wouldn't ping you today... It was festive day for me as well, but Muffy still pinged me to tell me about moving. Oh well , all's well that ends well!
