Please take this with a huge mountain of salt, especially because I can't give a source, and I can't prove anything:
A friend of mine went to the PAX east convention in Boston last month, where they spoke to a Nintendo rep and asked about it. According to the rep, there WILL be Animal Crossing news at E3 this year, and it will be 'BIG'. But to what extent and capacity 'BIG' means, I don't know. After all, Nintendo thought that Amiibo Festival was 'BIG' too. So yeah. Obviously I don't know what Nintendo is planning, but if their PAX rep is telling the truth, something 'BIG' is coming for Animal Crossing at E3.
