Why the name change for City Folk?

Could someone explain to me why Animal Crossing: City Folk was changed to Let's go to the city for the european version?

Did city folk sound too offensive, or something like that?

LGTTC is also the name in the Japanese version.

Bc Murica needs shorter names and Europe likes longer names..
