Why the hate on monkey villagers?

I adore both Simon & Nana.. As well as Champ from previous games.. They're epic villagers and need more appreciation

Get rid off Elise, and add Monty. These villagers aren't half bad.

I like most of the monkeys. Nana is adorable in game and Monty is 1 of 3 cranky villagers I like.

Agree with Farobi.. Take Elise out and put Monty in that lineup and I would happily have any of those villagers. ^^

I like the monkeys, apart from Deli.
He was in my old town, and he was OK, but he would never move out. I got to a point where I started to hate him and I still do.
My favourite monkey is Monty :3

Champ is the best monkey along with Nana.

Also, the Porter and Champ has different birthdays so I assume the Porter is Champ's brother or something.

I think Champ isnt Porter, but the second monkey that was in the GC but you dont see in this one..
In the GC there was a second monkey who drove the train and did the announcements

I don't really mind them, but something about Shari's hands-on-her-hips, head-tilted pose in her I guess "official" 3D image makes me cringe.
