Why on EARTH are we not able to reset Villager Clothes!?

I feel like I'm the only person that actually likes gifting clothes to my villagers...

I think it's adorable that your mom gives them clothes and they wear them, and the little jersey ranking thing is hilarious

It's a good thing I don't trade villagers here, nobody would want mine

In one of my towns, someone came over and put an inappropriate custom design in my ables, I removed it and walked out, then I saw Plucky wearing it
I talked to Isabelle that I didn't like what she was wearing but i've seen her wear it a few times even when I reported it

I generally haven't gifted clothes to my villagers except for birthday presents (since it seems like their 'preferred' gifts are always only clothes unless the site I've been using to check is wrong), although a couple have got apology gifts from other villagers - thankfully nothing hideous so far. But Cleo randomly started wearing a pilot's jacket a few days ago and I do not remember giving her that at all! I wish I could remove it from her wardrobe as I prefer her in her starting dress.

it honestly bothers me so much that we can't remove gifted clothing from our villagers' wardrobe. i don't mind it when my villagers are wearing things i've gifted them because i always pick them clothes that i know will match them but some of my villagers ended up gifting each other absolutely hideous clothes and no matter how many times i report them to isabelle they always end up wearing them again few days (or even minutes!) later... i also noticed that audie started to randomly wear cowboy clothes (she went from wanting to be a popstar to wanting to be a cowboy now, i guess) and i don't know what's up with that because neither me nor any of my villagers gifted her this... not to mention that out of all villagers i currently have on my island she was the only one i wanted to keep in the original clothing because i loved it so much.

heh. Usually I just give them fresh clothes if i don't like what they're currently wearing.

Also maybe you could convince your mom to buy you your own switch or something? So you could have separate islands ... though that'd be a really tryhard thing to do lmao

Also maybe you could have certain villagers that your mom is allowed to gift clothes to and the others will be off-limits?

or just stop worrying about what they're wearing, because if you only enjoy a villager when they're wearing flattering clothes then why bother to have them waste space on ur island
