Why is your favorite villager your favorite?

I love hearing how much people love their villagers, and talk about their favorite. I’d like to hear details from you all why it is you like your fav villager so much?
It could be anything from they were your first villager years ago, your interactions with them, to their look. I like hearing all of that stuff! You can even name more then one villager if you want!

My reason for Chrissy being my fav would be the fact that I seem to get a letter or two from her every week in NH. She either gives gifts, praises me, asks how I’m doing, and is just generally sweet and cute like most Peppy types are. Special mention to Bob who makes me laugh almost every time he speaks.

For me, Carmen is beautiful and I really love her looks! I love talking to her and she asks me about how wonderful my character outfit is and others.

Cesar is my favorite. He has adorable facial expressions and I love his mustache. The cranky personality is my favorite too.

My favorite villager ever is Fang. He was one of my starter villagers in City Folk, and I absolutely loved him and his cranky self. Then he wound up being one of my starters in New Leaf as well - and I didn't restart the game to get him or a new map or anything. It was the very first map and everything, and that alone made me say "heck yes!" Sadly he was not one of the first villagers I got on New Horizons. I got the game the day it released and found Fang on a NMT island in the beginning of February. All that time without my best bud, and it was kind of sad. But now that I have him, he'll never be leaving!

Out of all of the villagers that were my "first batch" if you want to call it that, I only have one left. Merry. And she is my favorite one of those, although given that I've had her since near the end of March I'm kind of ready for her to leave. I'm one of those people that likes having new villagers. But I don't have any Amiibo cards that I really like and would kick her out for.

I have my villagers in my signature, in order from when they moved onto my island.

I love Marinara. She's just cute and adorable. I like how many praises I get from her. btw I think this what she looks like if she was human.

this may not count since he’s not even in the game but my absolute favourite villager is bow! i know his chances of retuning are very slim but he’s honestly such an amazing villager and i love him so much. his design is just *chefs kiss* and i think the fact that he’s based off of Bowlingual devices is super neat. ^^ and plus,, he’s adorable!

Carmen is sweet and really cute, that gap tooth is adorable! Peppy types are so cute, and Carmen is one of the best!

Cesar is lookin’ sharp with that stache, looks happy with you, nice doggo on your flag btw.

You and Fang are soul brothers, dude, I’m glad you found him, or maybe he found you haha. Great story!

Marina is so pink and cuddly, glad she treats you nice! Human art of villagers is always cute.

Sorry to hear that, Xara, at least there might be very slim hope with them adding new villagers recently, I’m rooting for you to be reunited with your best bud.

So my favorite villager of all time is Molly. I have a story behind this. I was watching this YouTuber by the name of Chuggaconroy who did a lets play of Animal Crossing New Leaf. Now I wasn't aware of what Animal Crossing was and I never heard of it until I watched this guy's new Lets Play. I've been a long time subscriber since 2009 when he first played Super Mario Sunshine.

Anyways I always knew he liked Molly the first time he saw her. She was an adorable normal duck villager that is very kind. I too liked her also and she was really a nice duck to have in the town. However later in the Lets Play she decided to move out and I was very upset to see her go. I told myself whenever I would get Animal Crossing one day to find Molly myself.

So then I got Animal Crossing New Horizons during the time when there was a pandemic. I search all over for Molly she was nowhere to be found on the Nook Islands. Feeling frustrated I asked my friends if they had Molly but they didn't. I looked on that trading site Nookazon to see if they have her but they didn't. It was by then I had given up, but then something happened. It was somewhere in June 2020 when she finally came to my Campsite. I remember just screaming for joy when I saw her. Of course I had to do the dreaded card game but after many attempts I convinced her to move in and she picked Ruby to leave which I was fine with.

To this day she is still living on my island and I don't ever plan on letting her go ever. She holds a special place in my heart and I just told myself that "the pain of searching is finally over". So yeah thats why I love Molly so much.

Dude, I used to watch Chugga all the time back when I was a kid in 6th grade! I remember his rage at the watermelon one where he had to make sure it wasn’t thrown into the air! Great man! Watched every let’s play back then!
That’s a touching story, dude, made even more by the fact that so many years later you finally got to get her, I’m sure shes happy to be where she’s loved!

Tybalt!

First off he just looks amazing.

Due to Bare and the sims 2 I have a soft spot for the romeo and juliet character he's named after.

Due to how many art forgeries he's sent me I had to conclude he was into dodgey dealings. My suspicions were confirmed when I found an entrance to a secret beach, only accessible from behind his house. He's been working with Redd.

But not only is Tybalt a criminal, he's also a mooch. Multiple times I have found him at peoples houses hoping to get free sports drinks.

He formed a relationship with Carmen. This broke down when it turns out he was only with her for her sports drinks. I also suspect he wanted the power she would have if she ever became famous. (But let's be real she will never be famous)

Quillson moved to town and quillson is a young naive rich duck out on his own for the first time.
Quillson had no idea that when the young hot muscular jock started making the moves on him it was for anything other than courtship.
Of course Tybalt smelt the blood in the water and is hoping to get some of his cash.

Now I know I make Tybalt sound like an awful person. And my answer to that is yes!

Hes the islands antagonist but he's also really nice and sweet to everyone when he's not abusing them and I just want to give him a hug.

anyone who's ever seen me post abt Rodney is probably sick of me saying he's my fave lmao but he is! I don't really have a set reason as to why, I just think he's super cute and arguably the fact that so many people hate him reinforces my love for him - sure, he looks as if he doesn't have a single thought behind his eyes but I love him for that! he's been around since my NL towns so he was very much a priority come NH

i obviously love him for being loz themed but he also has an amazing design
plus wolf villagers are really cute

i also love chai and katt ♡
i love chai because i adore sanrio characters and katt looks like catra from she-ra lol

My favourite villager is Fauna, I like most of the deers as I think they’re really nice animals but she is my top one as she’s really cute and for me she’s the villager that most closely resembles my favourite game character, Eevee, with a similar colour scheme, the big beady eyes and the large pointed ears. Also I love Disney and she makes me think of Bambi too so I associate her with a lot of things that make me happy.

Peanut was my previous favourite back in Wild World as I thought she had a really nice design and loved having her in my town but she’s a bit too bright for me in NH, still love her for the nostalgia though.

Totally unrelated to my favorite villager, but Cesar was my first grumpy villager in Wild World and back then the dialogue was quite savage with no chill: So I remember Cesar being so rude and bullying me and I loved every second with him haha.

As for my favorite villager it's... between Antonio and Cherry. Antonio just have such a clean and elegant design for an anteater. There's just something about him also that takes me back to my childhood obsession with Neopets.

Then as for Cherry... She's a dog. But not only that, she is a rock and goth lover with a sassy attitude thanks to her uchi (sisterly) personality. Not to mention her color design is so damn satisfying.

there’s just been something about cyrano for the longest time that always drew me to him. i can’t really explain it. i just love him. i have a soft spot for cranky villagers cause they’re just the grumps with what i believe the most kindest and pure heart ever. after you break through that hard shell they start opening up to you, being comfortable with you, and then end up being your bestest friend in the whole world. but cyrano.. i can say now that for half of my life (literally) he’s been my favourite villager, and my best friend in all games. i just really love him, his personality, how he looks, he’s just the best! during all my birthdays, cyrano was the one that threw the party. who came to my house unannounced the most? cyrano. who sent me the most letters? cyrano. who gave me their photo first? cyrano. everything that happened, even though i love every single one of my dreamies, cyrano has always been number one. my top 3 favs have always been cyrano, curlos, and bob. curlos and bob im also extremely close with and love very very much. they also gave me their photos really quick, sent a ton of letters to me, and always came to my house unannounced. but it’s cause im the closest with those 3 then i am with any other villagers, those 3 just hold a special place in my heart, and if i had to choose 3 villagers to get stuck on an island with, i wouldn’t even have to contemplate, id choose them in a heartbeat. now even in nh, i found cyrano at my campsite, and spam played the games (which i literally lost EVERY single one of them, it was going on for like half and hour or more but i didn’t care i just needed cyrano immediately) he ended up finally moving in to my island (he probabaly felt bad i kept losing lol) and i honestly don’t even remember who had to move out to make room for him cause i was spam clicking so fast and i didn’t care about anything else. now just to find curlos and bob and im set. and of my course my other lovely dreamies as well.

Hamphrey is my number one. He's just this crotchety, old fashioned pensioner walking around in the body of a tiny, round blue hamster, and I think it's just so cute and hilarious. Not only that, he's insanely sweet and thoughtful, and by far the most loyal out of all my villagers. I'll never part with him

So I got lots of favorites, no top favorite really, I kinda picked forest animals, 2 penguin pals, Sprinkle and Aruora, 2 egale pals, Apollo and Ameila, two octo pals, Octavian the space octopus and marina his mate for life so they can make octo babies, 2 squirrel pals, Agent S and Mint the blue and green ones to match town colors of blue, purple, and green, then Fauna is top rung has her own private flower field next to her town, and kiki the black cat!!!

My favorite is Olivia. I like her because she has my favorite name, and I like cats. Also I like how elegant her house is. I was so happy when she showed up at my campsite because cats are hard to find while island hopping.

my other favorite is Tank because he was my starter jock and he is special because we started the island together. It used to bother me that he had a starter house and not his real house, but now I’m happy with it because it makes him unique from all the other Tanks out there.

I love your head canon about Tybalt, things like that are what endears our villagers to us! Makes them all unique to the individual, I think!

Just want to say I love Rodney too! @JellyBeans he's super cute. I'm a sucker for freckles (love you so much, Oshawott ) and that particular shade of teal is really lovely, plus he got a tuft of pink fur on his head which adds lots of charm.

As for my favorite villager and why she is my favorite, that honor goes to Annalisa. She's an anteater and I love the shape of their bodies and their big, poofy tails. It really makes me happy whenever I see her. She was one of my starter villagers in NL, and I found her design really intriguing. Normally I am not a fan of villagers with makeup, but she doesn't overdo it. She has just enough delicate blush and eyeshadow to make her look elegant. Kind of like Rhonda tbh. They both has beautiful eyes and soft blush. When I think of Annalisa, I think of a peaceful afternoon sipping matcha tea as cherry blossom petals gently drift in the breeze~

I, for one, cannot wait for the return of cherry blossom season this April to take some lovely photos of my lovely girl
