Why is Colton popular?

I've heard that Colton is a pretty popular villager but I can't just find anything to like about him. Can anybody explain? I have him in my town but its just that I find it hard to like him and maybe I want him out.

According to Chrystina's tier list, he's T5 which is the lowest ranking.

Anyways, I think he's a sweetheart. I love his fairy-tale prince design.

I had him, he was kinda meh. But if there's one thing I remember about him, it's his catchphrase, which makes me think of a certain meme.

Despite his tier, I've found a good amount of people liking him. I can't see it either, his color scheme is OK I guess.

I got him as a random move-in, and I just think he kinda looks like a Prince, and has just a very warm and friendly vibe to him.

I actually didn't realize Colton was popular! I also like him, though. I like the fact that he is smug, because that is one of my favourite personalities. I like his blond hair, and like Amy-chan mentioned, his fairy-tale prince design is really cute! I hope you grow to like him one day! ^_^

Kind of strange he is a tier 5 when I hear about him here and there too. I like that prince charming style he's got too, it is pretty cute.

I didn't know he was popular, but I can see why. His color scheme is nice, and his house is nice as well. He's also in my town xD

He's not especially popular anymore. He was initially for a while, his popularity has declined an awful lot in the last year or so.
As for why he was ever popular....you can ask that about literally any villager. Don't keep somebody just because you've head that others like him. Lolly is now one of the most popular villagers around here, I still have no interest in her. Tried her in my town for a short while and let her go soon after. No point keeping a villager I don't really love, no matter how many people like her

I've never heard of him being popular before, but after looking him up, he doesn't seem so bad. A little gimmicky, but still a decent villager. I'm surprised he's not like Tier 3 or so.
