Why I hate the fishing tourney

I just handed in 11 fish. 10 of them took first place. I got THREE items from the fish series. THREE! Come on, beaver man!

I already have the whole set, but still. He's kind of stingy with the gifts. It's all stuff I could get at Nook's store.

Both the gold fish trophy and the gold insect trophy sell for 2,450 bells Silver sells for 1,800 bells.

I know the feeling! When he finally gave me items of the fish set, he kept giving me puffer-fish tvs and the floor when all I wanted was the jellyfish lamp! At least it's easier to get items than from the bug-off!

The Fishing Tourney and Bug-Off annoy me, so I rarely participate. The only time I'll compete is when you can turn in any fish. I hate when they'll only accept a certain type. The last one was for Carp, I think, so I skipped it.

i love swooping in near deadline, catching a few fish or bugs and winning the trophy without too much fuss or muss. but he tells you how many points you need to get a special series item-- i think it has to set first place and top 70 (that could be bug-off amount though). actually for fish, maybe you have to set a new personal best also to dip into the special set (but that seems like you'd never get the whole series, so...)

Ahaha! I usually just fish the day of and hand in the top fish, I rarely get the special items too, but on the kind of fish tourneys that don't require a specific fish I usually hand him one of my very many whale sharks in my fish collections! it's actually all in my drawer, and yeah yay for the gold trophy <33

What REALLY gets my blood boiling is when you catch a leading fish just a mere 30 minutes before the tourney is over. You have confidence that you are going to get that wonderful gold trophy, but a villager surpasses you in just a half hour.
