WHY has nobody mourned the loss of Porter the Monkey?

I guess with the introduction of monkeys in the game, Porter sort of lost appeal as an NPC. It would be cool if he'd make an appearance as a villager but I guess Champ was sort of his replacement, is he not back?

i mean porter was in new leaf w the monkey villagers, so idk why he'd die now. rover is still around despite cat villagers so??? idk what they did to him

I just remember how much my ex didn't like him.

When you asked for feedback on your town rating, it's supposed to be anonymous to some extent but Porter ousted himself by adding "eek eek" on his statement.

With no Train Station, there is no need for Porter, because we have the Dodos now. It’s quite sad, but that’s also for a lot of other NPCs.

unless he's responsible for doing other things, such as another island w services or smth to do with the planes

I mean, we could have an event with him, like Reese and Cyrus being a part of the wedding event, and Rover being a part of the May Day event. It would probably be in a different context, but I don't see them just leavin' him behind.
