why does the game sometimes take minutes to save?

my game just took a few minutes to save and i was so scared, i thought it was going to go on forever and i'll be forced to turn it off. does anybody know why this happens?

It's supposedly caused by the 3DS trying to connect to Wi-fi during the save process for an unknown reason then failing to do so. The most common and reliable fix is to flick the Wi-fi switch off, wait to see if the save process finishes, then flick it back on if it doesn't. I've had this happen a few times and this always takes care of it.

That's weird...I've never had that issue before, ever. By any chance, does this happen after you remove/replace the SD card?

Mine only takes about a minute or so to save while I'm at another town, or someone is at mine. Other than that, when I'm not using wifi features, my game takes just a few seconds to save.

I never touch my SD card, I don't even open the slot. I only played for about twenty minutes, so it shouldn't take that long to save. I guess it was my internet then?
