Why do you have your villagers?

My Rumble town is all bears - Friga just moved out to my other town and I have room to finally have all "bears" (don't tell Clay and Soleil!) Rumble is my first town with a solid theme for villagers. Having an all species town is SUPER FUN. I highly recommend it.

I don't talk about one of my other towns but it is full of villagers that other ppl on the boards have called "Ugly". Eugene, Wendy, Gruff, Elise, Tiffany, Agnes, Tutu, Nate, Mott and Nan. Everyone is staying except for Nan. She's too cute and sweet. I need to find a new normal for this town. I hadn't played this town in awhile but I played Halloween on Halloween IRL. It was a blast!

I'd love to have all my towns have themes. With my "main" town I am in a deep pondering as to who should be in that town. I thought all bear cubs would be cool, but it doesn't feel right. Back to making plans...all I know is Ankha is staying. Everyone else could be leaving...

All my villagers right now are originals except for one, and the placement of their homes fit nicely. I really like them, they seem to have built a nice friendly bond between one another I'd hate to rip them apart! And right now I'm just too lazy to allow for new villagers to move in, mostly because I'm kind of scared where they will place their homes and who it'll be even though I have the campsite built already

Mine are mostly my original ones. I've only ever had two move out and a third is moving this weekend. Even though they might not be my dreamies I'm really attached to most of them because of high friendship levels, previously living in a close friend's town, or have some other sentimental value. For example, I picked up Greta and her Japanese style home last spring when I attended an anime convention for the first time (yes, I'm a nerd).

At first it was all "I want to keep the villagers I like" because I thought it was a total hassle picking from the whole villager list. I then realized that my villagers, though I loved them, didn't blend-in well together (which annoyed me), and I was such an indecisive mayor that the moment I'd see a cute villager, I'd immediately try to get it without giving a second thought. That's why I made a dreamy list to constrain myself, and given that my town's name is Vanillix (which sounds like Vanilla) my dreamy list was mostly white- and yellow-colored villagers.

Though it was sad seeing almost all my old villagers move out, I pretty much grew attached to my dreamies, and I'm happy they blend with each other perfectly. :] (I'm sad for Sprinkle though, since she was my only dreamy that didn't fit in, so I had to give her to someone else. :( But just the same, I want all my villagers to be happy with everyone else! :D )

for my main town, i just picked villagers that i liked the look of or ones that i had in an old town and loved. but for my second town, i've already picked my villagers based loosely on the theme of that town, but not as strictly as some people do. it was still mainly just villagers i'd wanted in my original town but had no room for.

I like having at least one other species of the same type, if not more.

In all of my towns besides one, I have no idea what direction to go in and have turned them into cycling towns. but I know exactly where I'm going with Arcadia, I want an "enchanted forest" town that you can get easily lost in. I have cats I'm holding onto to move to future Mowville (all cat town) but I'm planning on moving in cubs, like Maple or Poncho. I have Fauna, planning on moving in Diana & Beau. Mint was a starter and I'm keeping her forever. I'm keeping Skye, Chief & Kyle because I think they fit well and I love them. plus Kyle has my boyfriend's name and birthday. c:

I don't really have a specific theme for villagers to fit in with. All of mine are just ones I love. Half of my dreamies are ones I had in the Gamecube Animal Crossing game whom I had befriended. Having them in my New Leaf town is so nice because it's nostalgic and cool to be friends with them again.
