Why do people want The Roost back?

Just curious. Is it for esthetic purposes? I mean, I liked working shifts there, but once I'd acquired all the items I almost never used it.

If the rumors are true and it will somehow coincide with a Gyroid section of the museum, then I'd be all for it.

Numerous reasons, really:

1. The building (if there is to be one) will add to one's island for aesthetics, etc.
2. He's been in every game since City Folk. Why does he have to miss out in New Horizons?
3. Coffee.

it felt very communal, always! villagers coming in, NPC, making coffee and learning your villager's orders, carrying out coffee and having it around town. something about all the actions with it were very comforting and interactive in a different way than all the rest of the buildings? plus i like coffee lol

No other reason.
An extra building would be nice also, but only if they add it before I complete my island.

I enjoyed the coffee mini game and I agree it would be nice to have another building if it isn’t in the museum. For me, the main reason is the hope (though I realize that I may be getting my hopes up for nothing) for some food and beverage furniture. Also, Brewster was pretty coo(l).

I have to agree with everyone else.

Brewster is a game staple (and gyroids). The Roost being absent really makes the feel incomplete (to many of us at least). Also, it gives us something else to do.

And lastly, coffee.

I personally didn’t care for the gyroids aside from the Brewster ones. But, seeing how creative people were with them, I have no problem with them being added in the game . I might end up finding a use for them and end up liking them

For me at least, I want it back for a few reasons:

1. It will add more more aesthetic to my island and I can develop a specific area dedicated to a cafe.
2. Brewster and his Cafe is just an iconic part of the Animal Crossing series.
3. It could just be another fun feature to the game and could bring new content or things to do.

I enjoyed working with Brewster. If the café returns, I hope that I can work with him non-stop. I didn't like that working with him is short lived in New Leaf. Hopefully we'll get a dessert case and bakery items if he returns, along with brand new drinks rather than just coffee. I think that would really make it more special.

My thing would be it'd be another building or structure to add into the island's environment.

Also because of the character himself. I like building friendships with quiet characters and essentially 'earning' their trust in games.

I'm not a coffee drinker, it'd be nice if he had other drinks he served like how most coffee places are. But again, not a game killer for me.

It seems really redundant to no longer want something just because it isn't a certain way and have everyone else who would want it be denied. Just have it added, and you could just... ignore it.

Notice I said, "Then I don't want it at all," and not, "Then it shouldn't be added at all." If it's in the museum, I'll most definitely ignore it. Well, unless Brewster has recipes, then the completionist in me will be left with no choice but to oblige.

I never played new leaf, so I didn't get to 'work' at the roost, but I sunk many many hours into wild world as a teenager and visiting brewster every day was the one ritual I always kept up. brewster is my favourite NPC, maybe because I spent so long working in hospitality and I feel I can relate to him hehe. I don't care if we get a new building or if it's part of the museum again, I just miss my hard-working pigeon buddy!

Yeah, I can sorta understand that. Whereas it was my first Animal Crossing game. XD

plenty of reasons!

• coffee and hot beverages in general are great
• it would be nice to have another building, and cafes have really cozy vibes that belong in an animal crossing game
• the nostalgia / its been in the games for so long so we kind of expect it
• Brewster is great!
• it might come with the addition of food / beverage / cafe related furniture and DIYs which we really need considering how many users have build cafes and restaurants on their islands
• if we can work there, it'll give us more to do on our islands
• and my main reason: it would give us another way to interact with our villagers!

Honestly, I’d prefer the roost to be a part of the museum (that would be a major nostalgia bomb for me) but I’d be alright with a separate building. Brewster would be cool coming back but IDK if I’d want to do the shifts...I DO want hot drinks to hold regardless.
