Why do people not like visitors talking to their villagers?

I personally hate it because they're always like "I talked to (name) from (town) yesterday, blah blah blah." This is why I don't like letting people come to my town for signatures which I did twice, but we're even because I'm pretty sure the people who I visited have their villagers talking about me lol

but yeah it's just really annoying because I already some of my villagers singing the town tune from the town I got them in which annoys me also so..

It's horrid!
I deleted an old WW town because of this.

They never shut up about whomever they met.
It was almost as bad as the birthday wish.

Wow really? I thought is was because it could cause the villager to leave and go to their town.

I personally don't like my villagers mentioning other towns or people they've met. Simply because when I talk to them it's only because I want a task to do (or I'm giving them a delivery etc) and I don't want yet another pointless dialogue taking up time to get to the option of getting a task, even if that time is only a few seconds They already repeat endless conversations about trains, flowers, unidentified oranges, another villager saying their catchphrase was silly etc etc. Amidst all that I don't want to hear the latest rumor/title about another mayor lol
