All you have to do is wait till your birthday for instance i think marshal is the cutest thing ever and im not paying like 50mil bells just for him so i wait till augest 20th and when my villager asks me to make a wish i type in marshal like 70% of the time the villager will move in if you have 8 villagers and go to your campsite if you have 9

I'm fairly certain that's just coincidence. As far as I know, that whole birthday wish thing is just a cute add-on and doesn't actually guarantee anything will happen.

although that would be nice, I'm pretty sure birthday wishes don't work that way, unfortunately. some people do only choose to wait/reset for dreamies in their campsite, but buying them off of here or other sites is a great way to get them without waiting forever. and there are many cyclers that give away villagers for free, too c:

That is just a coincidence. The birthday thing is just a cute wish but I don't think it makes anything happen.

For my birthday wish (which I kept a secret), I wished for Tabby and Maple. They haven't shown up yet and I doubt they will. If I do get them, I'll consider it a happy coincidence.

i still think buying villagers you want is stupid it takes the fun away from getting them oh i want this villager? ill just buy it instead of waiting like a normal person birthday wish or not even trading whats the point?

First of all, your birthday is once a year and most people have an idea of all the villagers they want. Plus the wish thing, coincidence or not, isn't guaranteed. Even if the wish thing existed, there's no way the developers make it 100% you get what you want. Second of all, waiting tales a long time. I don't know the exact number of villagers, but I know it's over or about a hundred. The odds of getting the however many villagers you want are very slim. Most people either just buy villagers here or find random villagers (move ins and campers) to fall in love with, but I've never heard of someone waiting to find all their dreamies on their own.

This is your 2nd thread about selling/buying villagers, lol. If you don't like the concept then just don't post/lurk in the villager trading plaza. c:

Also it's been said before, but I'm sure the birthday wish coming true is just a coincidence.

I like Animal crossing because it's cute. Do I think Al is cute? No. Why would I want him hanging around my town? I like villagers that make me smile, not, "Ugh, him again? Leeeeeave!!!"

Edit: No offense to anyone who likes Al. He's just not pink and cutesie...

Waiting takes forever. A bunch of people probably would have lost their mind trying to get dreamies without buying/selling/trading. I didn't even know it existed until recently, and I'm so glad I found out about it.

there are 300+ villagers, the chance that you would get your 10 favorites from the campsite or a "wish" is very unlikely (pretty much impossible) so people like to trade & adopt villagers instead. I think the designers of the game intended it that way... otherwise they wouldn't have made the option to adopt a villager from another town
