Why did you decide to buy New Leaf?

I loved the GC version as a kid & liked WW to a degree, plus I saw all the hype surrounding it and it looked awesome.
 
My first game was WW and I enjoyed it a lot, as I got CF on the way my like for the AC series just grew and I bought the original one as well (Population Growing!)
Ever since I saw the trailer for New Leaf, I was really excited and it was the main reason I bought the 3DS.
I waited years for it to come out and when the pre-order was here, I went to pre-order it straight away.

I can say that it was worth it to get NL ~
 
My first game was WW and I loved it. I didn't really think I was gonna get NL at first. But then one of my friends were talking on and on about it and I got curious and wanted it. Then another one of my friends was talking about how she was saving up for NL. So I told her I would too. I ended up getting it for Christmas and so did she.
 
I had bought my 3DS in April in anticipation for Pokemon XY but I didnt have enough money for a game, nor was there any games that interested me at the time. In June I got word that a new Animal Crossing was being released for the 3DS. I have been playing Animal Crossing since Wild World, and really enjoy the franchise on hand helds more then consoles. So I bought Animal Crossing to hold me over until Pokemon was out, and so I could finally play with my brand new 3DS. And now I own two copies of New Leaf! Hah!
 
This is actually my first animal crossing game! I used to think animal crossing was a strategy game to get animals to cross a bridge. (no lie)

One night in December, I saw my family friend playing it [he came over with this family to have dinner with my family] and I looked over and saw what he was doing. This mind-blown me as I never knew animal crossing was a life stimulation game. He told me all about it. And I googled it, I got so excited to buy it after a week of googling about it! I bought the game the very next week. :3

oh, and not to mention. I initially bought my 3DS XL for Pokemon X only, but after a few weeks of playing pokemon and losing 232810938012 pokemon battles with my friends, I got bored, so animal crossing attracted me a lot. :-)

It was kinda funny what you thought about animal crossing before xD(Really sorry I don't mean to be a jerk.) Quite a sweet story right there haha.
 
I got it mostly because of Chuggaaconroy. I already knew of the series, my sister used to be addicted to the GC version in elementary school, but I always thought I'd get bored with it, so I never bothered to look into it.
 
I had played Wild World and City Folk before, so I got this game. It had WW's portability, and better graphics than CF so I thought it would be the perfect AC game and I was right! So on the last day of school, I got to go shopping and buy it. I played all day that day. xD
 
Isn't it obvious? The Animal Crossing series is my all time favorite hehe<3 ~ enough said.
 
I had WW for ages, so when I heard that there was a new one coming I bought it the day it was released on eShop.
 
I bought it because my kids already had the game and raved about it. They kept telling me I would love the game, so finally I tried theirs and fell in love with it. I fell in love so much that now I just went out and bought another 3ds unit and game so I could have an extra town. lol
 
Originally, I wasn't planning on getting this game. I preferred Wild World at the time.
I changed my mind over time from seeing trailers and screenshots. I got the game on the release date and I'm happy I did.
 
The ads were getting annoying and it didn't look like a bad game.
Also I just wanted to try Animal Crossing.
 
I don't get really addicted during WW but my friend...non stop persuading me to buy NL and I got so desperate and bought it lol but ever since then look like I am the only one playing =(
 
I kept seeing it on my tumblr dash and, having never played animal crossing before, thought it looked adorable
 
Peer pressure..

All my friends talked about for weeks was that a game called Animal Crossing was coming out soon. Is never heard of the game before and didn't really play any video games. They had played all the previous AC games. I looked into it and thought it looked cute. So I preordered the special AC 3DSXL and never looked back. ^_^
