Why did this happen?

My favourite character just asked to move away! I give her loads of attention and do all the tasks she asks and she's asked to move! I can't be doing a good enough job D:

Sometimes it's your best friend that asks! You aren't doing anything wrong.

Any villager can ask to move, whether they're your favourite or not. It's a completely random process.

yeah, you could be really good friends with them and they'll still ask to move.
