It's a little different going into a house when they're unpacking than it is to go into a shop when it's being refitted!
I remember back in 1998, I walked into my family's new house while they were in the final stages of building it: I remember that there was no carpeting, the walls had yet to be painted, and there was a massive hole in the floorboards. Yet, when my potential boss was refurbishing their store two years ago (they never re-opened - the family went back to their home country before the work was complete) they wouldn't let staff in never mind the customers and their shop was in a much better state than my family's house had been!
