Why did the art gallery have to come back?

I love that they brought back the art quickly. I finished the fossil set already, so it's nice to have something else to work on besides the last handful of creatures. It's cool all of the sculptures and incredible art that was added. I think they pulled it off quite well. Only complaint I have is it's kind of annoying the 1 art purchase per day. Plus Redd has always been one of the best NPCs in AC history.

Did you check everything properly? Redd is supposed to have a guaranteed genuine piece (at least he did in the older games - seems weird to change that now). If Redd is still around, I'm recommend looking up a guide and checking again, because I'm sure that there should be at least one real thing!

I already checked all the art pieces. They weren't genuine:

- Mona Lisa had creepy eyebrows
- Warrior statue was holding a shovel
- the "Scary Painting" (that's the one whose fake had pointy fingers before) was sad
- Nofretete bust had an earring

I've heard this happened to others too so it seems like you don't get a guaranteed genuine art piece this time around.

The art is getting donated whether he hands you the art now or in the mail tomorrow . Why does it matter that you need to wait?

I like the fact that art is back but I have to agree, collecting art is super tedious and I'm not sure how anyone could actually do it without time traveling unless they spend years and years playing.

Collecting art is (and probably will always be) my least favorite thing to collect for the museum. As a kid playing City Folk you can tell my patience was low for that type of stuff. It's tediously more difficult than collecting any other thing. Imagine having to figure out which fossils/insects/fish are fake. Sounds like fun amirite.
I know it's part of Redd's character to be are sneaky and stuff but that doesn't make trying to find the art anymore better. If anything he could be doing it for something else, what that something else is? Don't know. My brain's fried from any creative due to quarantine but I'm sure it can't be that hard to think of something.
Though, I guess the one positive thing I can say about the art being back is how good it'll look. Yay.
