Why can't I fall in love with paths?!

So today I've been having a play with my town. I'm trying to make it look good and tidy areas up a bit and plan things out for PWPs etc.
I've been looking for a path for a while now and have had another search today, however I just can't get it to a point that I'm happy with. I think it is because it never looks seamless. You end up with areas where you can see cobblestones still, there are gaps at the doors and they look a bit square.
So many people have awesome paths in their towns, which I've seen when visiting and dreaming, but I just can't get it right. I think my OCD is preventing me doing it. I just feel that a town doesn't look complete without paths and all the impressive towns have them.
Can anyone either help me learn to love paths or show me a town that has overcome the negatives of paths and has a great town layout without them?

Im the very same way when it comes to paths. I'll get one down and have it for a week just to realize that hmm Im not liking it too much. So all you can do is keep searching or check out some dream towns

When it comes to paths, I don't really do anything...

But, my townends up being a big dirt pile. It gets really annoying...

Sir/Ma'am, you have a classic case of IDon'tLikePathia, or IDLP for short...

I have had that problem but usually I just ignore it or fix it. To fix it I just put a lot of flowers every where and maybe some bushes to line you paths. My town isn't complete but so far in satisfied with it, feel free to check it out to get ideas.

I've had the same problem. I can't find a path I like! Usually when I put a path down on the first day I pick it all back up right when I finish it! It's annoying that I can't like anything! Is there a path anyone is willing to share with me? c:

when it comes to designing my path... it took me 2 weeks until I got to my final path look. The first draft was too plain. The second draft I messed around for days but finally I gave up on it because I messed up on the calculation (I would of need 26 individual pattern designs for it). The final draft had me working for a week (I reduced the # of designs needed to 12 individual patterns). To me the biggest concerns for path design are finding the right color and right design.

I like paths, and it's fairly easy for me to find one I like, but if you really can't find one you like, I suggesting getting some random tile and putting it around your town. Then, line it with flowers, trees, bushes, whatever and kick up the tile. Voila! Paths, without a tile ...If that's what you mean.

I have a very simple (hand-made but don't worry, it looks good, promise) stepping stone path? It's saved on my SD card somewhere, i'll dig it out a bit later/tomorrow if anyone wants to use it c:

I'm glad I'm not the only one with path issues. I will keep looking and trying I guess. It may be better once the snow has gone as that isn't helping!
