Why all the hate on the new personalities?

I do agree with you with the saying of "tomboyish personality is the best personality for a girl, with goths as a close second!" seems really... childish?
I mean... who is to say what personality is the best?
Just because people have a labeled personality doesn't mean they are a good or fun person to be around even if you like a lot of things those personalities do.

I was a tomboy growing up ((I was literally the only granddaughter so all my cousins were boys... and all children all my street were boys... duh I'd be a tomboy since I was always around boys XP))
But many tomboys annoy the crap outta me...


ANYWAYS
I don't think Uchi are really tomboy-ish... Just like they are "big sister" ... Protecting the main character by means of offering to beat someone up for them or give them medicine for bee stings.
Only "tomboy" thing I ever notice with them is fighting... nothing else I see "male oriented" that would make me think they are tomboy-ish.

OH I FORGOT TO ADD MY OPINION ON SMUG
At first... really hated it.
Where I am from ((thankfully moved)) there is more men to women... and the women are most whores and sluts that make horrible discussions...
Thus, heard a lot of cat calling ((hell those men would cat call at anything)) ... so the smug personality really put me off with their really flirty behavior.
And their really egotistical remarks.

But, after awhile any villager personality can grow on me if I end up thinking the villager is cute, I guess.

A good way to change that is just start the sentence with saying "I think" ... simplest way to change how something is read since it starts out saying that you are stating your opinion rather than fact. And you don't have to completely reword everything. =3

I think one reason I have a hard time wording things, might be due to my autism.

I passed several things for autism testing, but my dad forced them to stop testing because "he wasn't having a ******** kid" ... yeah... well... just because a dr doesn't label it doesn't means it goes away. >.>
My brother has a learning disability and speech problem ((after speech stuff every single year in school... still can't make the "r" sound or say "yellow" ...))
I got lucky mom was going to be a special ed teacher before my dad made her quit school.
Therefore, when I was younger, my brother and I got special at home attention.
...
So, if you have problems, there are teachers or people who can help you. =3

You just think... differently...
But the gene runs on his side of the family... Apparently I have a semi-distant cousin who can't spell their name but is a mathematical genius?
But, I didn't learn about any of that stuff until I was out of high school.
I learned a lot of things I should have been told sooner after high school. o.o

But where I use to work at a college bookstore there was a guy who always wore a hoodie that said "I Love My Autistic Son" it was very touching to see. ^-^

After joining Sylvia's gang I can now say that I like the Uchi family. Not sure who the smug is in my town.. I think it's Tex, and was Beardo, and I throughly enjoyed them both!

Smugs are quite popular actually LOL.

The only reason some people don't like some of the smugs (Marshal, Julian) is bc they're "overrated".

And uchis, they're not that popular bc of their designs, but I reckon they have cute designs (muffy <333)

I've seen a few people on ACC and tumblr saying that they don't like Smug types because they seem to be 'hipsters'. I think some of the distaste comes from the way a lot of people see hipsters as the butt of all jokes and such. I personally really love the Smugs in the game. I have a lot of fun talking with them, and they're hilarious.

Though, I would really love to see an actual smug type. I'd have so much fun having a villager who was so pretentious and snooty about themselves and their abilities. It'd be like a character that everyone would love to hate. But you still kinda like them a little bit, even if you won't admit it to anybody.

I actually really like the Uchi personality, but I don't like the aesthetics of some of the Uchi villagers, but that's just my opinion. It makes me sad when I see the Uchi personality get slammed by people. What's wrong with being a strong older sister type? ;-;

Although strangely, uchis tend to make me buy paintings :/
Er but smugs are not technically 'smugs'. They're a bit more flirtatious towards the female players though.

So they're the male version of snooty?
