I can't really think of anyone famous, but I really would love to meet my godfather who died of AIDS in 2001. He's the main reason why I'm very interested in AIDS/AIDS related illnesses, and also why I volunteer with PWAs (People With AIDS). I would also like to think he inspired my paper on the Gay Men's Health Crisis which was submitted to New York State Archives' Student Research Awards program. Fingers crossed.

Awww, really sad for you, Liv- best of luck on your submission! ^-^

Ingmar Bergman. The greatest Swedish filmmaker whom ever lived. He died in 2007.
I don't even think there's a distant 2nd best Swedish director. Ingmar is one of the most influential directors of our time.

Freddie Mercury
Marilyn Monroe
Bettie Page
Gene Kelly
Frank Sinatra
Audrey Hepburn
Kurt Cobain

That's an epic list, Ninjana!

********
My mom, Leonardo Da Vinci, President Franklin D. Roosevelt, & whatever cosmic God that's out there.

More people I can think of:

-William Shakespeare (I've loved his stage plays, I would most definitely want to meet him.)

-Gregory Peck (I loved him in To Kill A Mockingbird)

-Akira Kurosawa (I know I already listed him, but I want to list him again because out of all film directors out there, he is my absolute favourite, and also one of the world's most influential filmmakers, next to Ingmar Bergman, Fritz Lang, and Jean-Luc Godard, whom is still alive today.)

-Yasujiro Ozu (Another one of my favourite Japanese filmmakers.)

-Kenji Mizoguchi (One of Kurosawa's influences.)

-John F. Kennedy

-Albert Einstein

-Alfred Hitchcock (Another favourite of mine.)

-Peter Finch (The actor who won a posthumous Oscar for Network. I loved his "I'm as mad as hell" speech.)

-Burt Lancaster

-Orson Welles (He directed one of the most influential films in the world. Citizen Kane. I would want to ask him how he made a film this amazing...)

-Humphrey Bogart

I've loved his movies since I was 12 years old. And I don't even know any other Swedish filmmakers as great as he was.

First on my list would probably be my favorite artist of all time, Micheal "Eyedea" Larsen. I've been a die hard fan of Eyedea & Abilities since around 2009 and would have killed to see them perform live. Still waiting on Abilities to come over to the east coast.

Every President of the US in one room (yes, I know they aren't all dead). That would be an interesting conversation...

Ada Lovelace
Blaise Pascal
Carl Gauss
Edgar Allan Poe
Gottfried Leibniz
Isaac Newton
Nikola Tesla
& the last dodo bird

Paul, John, or Peter from the back in the olden days when the early church was starting.

Mostly, though, I'd like to meet both of my grandpas. My dad's dad died when he was a young man, and my dad's always telling me stories about how wise of a guy he was. His dad fought in the Latvian Infantry during WWII against Hitler before they escaped to America. My grandpa on my mom's side died when I was a baby. He was a medic in the Italian Resistance during WWII. My parents both say they were great men and I would have loved to meet them. It always hurts when people are talking about how great their grandads are or how they're always such great and wise men. I would definitely want to meet the two of them.

Come on, seriously no one wants to meet Jesus? I'd like to see what he was like.
Also, a lot of historical figures. All sorts of kings and queens, though I'm most interested in female rulers. Cleopatra, Elizabeth I, Isabella of Castile, Catherine the Great, Maria Theresia... Just to mention a few. Right now I'm also fascinated with the celts, Boudicca in particular is very intriguing.

I want to meet Jesus. Just forgot to mention it, sorry.

I guess this out there, but I would've liked to meet Liu Bei from ancient Chinese war times.

I'd say Jesus, but he's still alive.

Not to be nitpicky, but I think "whom" is used incorrectly in the title. "Whom" is a word that's used after "to" or "from."

So anyways, I'd have to say Jesus (definitely!!), Elvis Presley, Michael Jackson, my great grandfather, and my grandfather. :D
