Well, these were the villagers i started off with:
-Soliel
-Sly
-Aurora
-Avery
-Puck

Sly and Soliel moved away ages ago, so i call the original villagers that i have left "The Goodland Three" since i am a fan of The Walking Dead

The original 5 in Sylvaria were Kody, Cyrano, Anicotti, Boomer and Queenie.

Mine was Gruff, Drift, Whitney, Margie, and Anabelle. My favorite at that time was Drift
I really like them all except for Anabelle I guess lol

Citrus- Caroline (favorite), Carmen (loved), Francine (loved), Moose (loved), Puck (moved out too quick to form an opinion)

Palm Bay- Maple (loved! still lives here!), Portia (loved, wanted to keep, but moved out), Apollo (wanted to keep, but moved out), Anabelle (okay), Boomer (eh)

Update for me: I lost Croydon when I got my New Nintendo 3DS XL, but I started a new third town on June 9th called New York. My first five villagers were Beau, Butch, Caroline, Diana and Peck.
