who was your first campsite islander?

I would have loved to be in your shoes! But no, I got Graham, a weird little hamster. He's moved out by now and Chops has moved in

Lionel. I didn't hate him, but his personality really didn't jive with me. His design seems like he should be older than the smug voice seems to suggest. It would have worked better if there was an elder-gentleman personality.

Marshal and I lucked out in hindsight because I didn't know about his cult following as I only played the original game on Gamecube and didn't return until New Horizons. Wasn't sure what to make of that permanent frown on his face, haha.

I only realized he was highly sought after a friend visited the campsite and said "nice, you got Marshal." I was ready to let him leave as well. I even tried to let days pass thinking he'd leave. Learned to really like him over time with his hilarious dialogue, including one where he addressed his frown as how he normally looks!

I was quite lucky because I got Marshal and I really like him...on the other hand I was hoping for Raymond and to finally get him had to do the campsite trick and kick out Marshall first (he will be back, but he won't remember me...bittersweet)
