Who Time Travels to develop their town?

I have done that for most of my time playing New Leaf but just started a new town and would like to try not doing that. I think it might be more rewarding to see my town flourish without that
I have had to reset 2 times because I time traveled to often. I even made a mistake to start time traveling in the town I have now. I really really really hope in the next game you can only set the clock and not the date (the date will be determined by the internet and timezone you're in).

Me. This game is dreadfully, painfully, disgustingly slow otherwise and I wouldn't play it as often if I couldn't TT. I'm not going to wait a full day for a damn flower to grow, or to build or demolish a single PWP. I'm not going to wait for ordered furniture to arrive in real time, I have to do that enough irl when I order from Amazon, why on Earth would I want to suffer like that in a game? lol.

I only time traveled when I was landscaping to make hybrids can spawn.

I do sometimes. I try not to, but I get impatient and time travel on occasion.
I time travel a little at the beginning because those first few days drag on when you've played enough and you know what happens when.
It's kinda fun to speed through the first few days, but usually when I get to my 9th or 10th villager I'm ready to chill a bit.

I do, I don't have the time to play for an hour each day so I just play the week by the weekend and have more fun because I have lots of stuff to actually do! Like I appreciate that Animal Crossing has a realistic day and night circle, but most people can't just make time to play whenever the game decides to give you an option to do something.
waiting is nice for people who have time, but there's nothing wrong with time traveling if you don't want to wait. it's your game, play it the way you want to. if you want to TT to get things done quicker, there's no harm in that. the same goes for people who want to play it day by day. i played day by day at first, but when i got around to actually landscaping, putting up PWPs, and basically developing my town, i was over waiting and TTed to get ahead.
I usually do. For a while I tried to make some towns without TTing, thinking that, since I won't develop my town as fast, I won't get as bored. But I think it's more boring to wait day to day in real time. When I do play New Leaf, it's usually for long periods of time in one sitting. I just can't commit to playing ~an hour every day.

i havent yet in my new town, but im guilty of doing it daily in past towns. i used to TT in the month it was IRL, but i switched back and forth the days. animal crossing is boring as hell to me if i dont tt. im not waiting 24 hours for hybreeds and im not waiting 2 hours to go to katt's house.
