who or where do you get paths from?

To get paths , you can make one in the patterns pocket section thingy. (The pencil icon)
But if it's to hard then you can go to here if you have the Sewing Machine unlocked in the Able Sisters shop. Click on the Paths link and you'll be sent a area with alot of paths. Once you find the one you like go to the able sisters shop , press A on the sewing machine to use it and then just line your 3DS up with the QR code and wallah , you got it. If you don't have the sewing machine unlocked then you have to become friends with Sable. To do that I think you have to talk with her 7 or 8 days in a row.

just google acnl paths and a bunch of tumblr sites will come up. be warned though, once you start looking there's no turning back. lol i've spent hours looking at them. they also have steps, flowers, grass, rivers, you name it.
