Rise Against. They have awesome music, with a real message and purpose, unlike most more popular artists these days.

While most of the music is hardcore punk, they have some really good acoustic songs, and some slower songs. They cover a broad variety of kinds of music, with all different kinds of messages, from problems with the environment to war to having your heart snapped in two.

The band members are also admirable people themselves. They're all vegan, they support PETA, and most of them are straight-edge. In fact, they're probably the biggest influence in my decision to live a straight-edge life myself.
