Who else thinks that this game's features should be in the next AC?

This game's features should really be in the next main Animal Crossing title. Designing and building facilities, huge towns, houses in unique areas, multiple biomes, etc. The house designing system in this game should definitely be in the next game too. Not only is the placement and moving of furniture in this game leagues ahead of the traditional way, but ceiling furniture, windows and blinds, placing objects between squares instead of just on them (and being able to squeeze through tight areas instead of being blocked off), designing yards, etc, should ALL be features in the next game. It just wouldn't make sense for them not to be. What do you guys think?

I'm hoping this is nintendo's way of beta testing these features for the next ac game.

I'd rather not be in charge of building homes/facilities in the next game, but I do like the new methods of designing. I definitely think they'll implement the new system in future games.

I understand not designing villager's houses, but building public facilities makes perfect sense, especially if being the mayor is the norm now. Oh, and I'd love to see neighbors walking around town and actually using the facilities like they do in this game. It makes the town feel so much more alive. Sure, they'd walk around shops and the museum in New Leaf, but in this game they'll sit at computer desks and use them in the office, they'll teach/learn at the school, they'll run the shops and buy from the shops, etc. I love it.

I thought the same thing. But I would love to be able to build your house ON the beach in the next AC installment.

Me. I'm not getting the game probably, because these features alone are not interesting to me if I can't enjoy playing in the town as well... But as a new feature in a full game, heck yes please! Now that's cool!

im sure they are. the wii u gamepad would work wonders for designing things, but they probably wanted to test it out and see how it could work and how fans would feel about it before changing things up drastically, hence, a spinoff on the 3ds.

Now that I've experienced moving items and placing them using the touch screen it's hard for me to imagine it without in New Leaf. Instead of a big light switch I hope they implement more functional design features in the next game, like HHD's system.

I totally agree with you JimmyJacob! I think designing new useful buildings would be awesome! The hospital would fit in quite nicely when villagers get sick. And I like being able to use the amiibo cards to get new villagers in. And I love being able to design the outside of homes. And I also LOVE the search feature where you can find the new stuff right away.

Unless the NX uses the GamePad, I don't think this controller is in the equation anymore. Nintendo has switched ressources away from the Wii U to the NX, hence the lack of any lineup for 2016 on the Wii U (except for the lackluster Star Fox Zero which was pushed out of the 2015 Holiday window).

Yup, I do think Nintendo will enable us to design some of the convenience facilities in the next Animal Crossing. Since the next game will be for the NX, I hope they do away with the rolling effect and adopt an art direction that meets what we saw in Mario Kart 8. Moreover, since the console will be more powerful, and since you need facilities that arr animated with townfolks, I guess we'll get more villagers than 8-10 per village.

We kinda had the ability to customize important places, like the town hall in New Leaf. Adding the ability to do so for a few more facilities would be fun. I think they could have a pre-designed template or two for the interiors for those who aren't inclined to do their own decorating as much.
