18 here, I unfortunately caught Covid back in January earlier this year and now it's been over 2 months and I still can't taste or smell anything, Covid really hit me like a truck and I haven't felt normal since the virus hit me wondering If anyone else here is feeling the same way?

First of all, I’m sorry that this is happening. Unfortunately, I don’t really have any advice, but I do hope things get better for you in the future. I think the pandemic has taken a toll on everyone. This is a difficult time in general.

Luckily I've not caught Covid (and hopefully I won't) but sadly you're not the first person I've read about to be suffering from "Long Covid" symptoms left behind by this nasty virus. I hope you get your sense of taste and smell back soon though, it must be horrible not knowing when you'll feel like yourself again.
i'm not sure if it actually works, but late last year i was reading about a couple of things that seemed to help people regain their sense of taste. it might be worth looking into if there's anything you can do (even if it sounds dumb, you don't really have anything to lose!). i haven't had covid (to my knowledge, unless i was asymptomatic) and i hope i can push through a bit longer until i get the vaccine. i'm sorry you have to deal with this still, hopefully you'll start to feel better soon.

I had it back in August and September and I still occasionally have the aches and fatigue. Also my taste and smell hasn't changed, but I find some foods, like shellfish, turn me off when I used to eat it regularly.
I'm 41, and I feel 60 some days. And I'm worried about long term respiratory issues as I get older

I have been teaching in person and luckily have not had it so far (halfway vaccinated now), but I do know someone who has a 17 year old that is really athletic who has lasting effects. They get winded easily now and stuff like that. I’m so sorry.
Hopefully you can recover soon. I haven't been infected with COVID yet fortunately.
The death tool from COVID is very high, but beyond that there are probably millions of people suffering from long-term debilitating effects of COVID. Even if you believe COVID only kills old people who were going to die soon anyway (which is false), it can still cause a lot of damage to younger people even if they are likely to survive. This makes it even more appalling that people are becoming more and more resistant to wearing masks and social distancing. We made it through this pandemic for a year; we can wait a few more months until most people get vaccinated instead of killing more people and giving many others potentially permanent disabilities just so we can have a little fun.

My grandma went from being almost perfectly healthy to being hospitalized most of the time since December.
I absolutely HATE the focus on "oh it won't kill you." I've been disabled and subsequently f****d over by the medical profession for most of my life, I'd like to not add any more on top of that thank you very much.

Oh wow, I'm sorry that you still have lost your sense of smell/taste! 
My brother got it and couldn't taste for a good amount of time after recovering but he eventually got it back. I hope you get yours back soon too!
I got it in February. I never lost my sense of smell or taste. It just felt like a flu for me so I had it pretty easy, however, it absolutely floored me with exhaustion. I couldn't get enough sleep. And even when I was better and tested negative and all of that stuff, I still couldn't get enough sleep. I was constantly exhausted and tired so much that my eyes were heavy. I still am tired a lot today, a month later. It screwed my sleeping schedule.
And it also screwed my schooling. I have a 4.0 that I work tirelessly to maintain. I've done everything to ensure that my schooling is top priority. But because of my exhaustion these days, I can't get myself to focus. I've fallen horrendously behind. I made a C- on an exam last week. With my favorite professor. In my favorite subject lol. A class I've been hounding my degree's department to teach for multiple semesters now.
I'm so tired of being tired. I really hope that it goes away soon. It's gotten a lot better but it's definitely frustrating.

I am really sorry it has affected you like this!! It sounds like tris is not at all uncommon, which is terrifying. Just wanted to say I sympathize. I have a few friends who have had problems (mini-strokes, heart arrhythmias). I personally got Lyme disease many years ago. It is scary to not know what to expect and feels so unfair, especially being a young and otherwise healthy person. I am glad it seems like the medical people are not going to blow off long covid like they do with chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, Lyme, etc. It was infuriating.
