Who else is going for a Modern look?

I know most guys go for zen, and alot of girls go for fairy-tale look, but am I the only one that's going for a Modern Look. I thought it would look pretty cool...

I'm going for a more City-Type style theme.

For my first town, I'm going for a more fairy-tale look (bc I like pretty things >_> ). But my second town is gonna be more modern. I'm gonna go with the modern train station and town hall. I'm gonna build the modern bridges when someone finally suggests it. Also one of my houses is a mall so I used the simple exterior, and concrete roof/tiles. Though my other houses aren't going to have the "modern" look. Also, I'm going for more modern PWPs like the video screen (which I'll put near my mall) and cube sculpture. I'm still gonna have a little campsite though, but it's up in the corner of the map.


I was gonna build a restaurant and hotel if I ever got a third town, but maybe they would make more sense in my modern town. hmm...

I don't have a certain 'theme' going on it my town (although some areas are a little zen ish or modern ish)

I'd like to see a proper modern town :3

I'm not a big fan of the modern... I think it's just so industrialized and I want my game to be all peaceful. XP
That's why my town has mostly peaceful, pretty things... like the zen, fountains, gardens, benches, windmill, etc.

My cycle town I may do the modern since... well it's industrialized like the buy/sell/trade/giveaway of villagers. XP

I only just started my modern town so it doesn't look modern at all yet. lol >_> I'm a loooong way away from the modern train station/town hall, which I think will really be what sells it. But yes, I'd love to visit your dream town!


Also, if I may ask for an opinion since this thread made me think about it. In my modern town, I have a mall, school, a seasons house (with zen exterior & each room is a different season), and the mayor's house is just a regular house. But should I change two of the houses to a restaurant & hotel, and save the others for another town? Would they make more sense in this town?

I would keep the Mall and the School. I would also put a Hotel. If you really wanted to add a restaurant, add a food court to it.

I still don't know if I want to go modern or zen....or both! Guess I'm gonna just keep building randomly and how ever it comes out...will be fine!

Probably fairy tale would be a good theme for food. Especially if you have Tia or Merengue.

I don't quite want my town to be quite THAT modern, lol. More like... modern village. I'm using a light brick path, though I may change it if it looks dumb with the modern bridge & buildings, idk. I'm still gonna put gardens around at some point too. Maybe put the windmill & stonehenge as "touristy" spots.

I like that dream address! That's what I want my town to look like. Man, I'm really jealous you have that many pink roses! I need some for my bakery . One thing I do want different about my town is that I want all my flowers to be in one park like area. Also more PWPs would look great in my town.
