Who customizes their villagers rooms?

People always complain "Wah that villager isn't original so I don't want it!! Even if it is free"
Then you have other people, like me, who are like "Meh, who cares? Just customize them to your own taste!"


I have Whitney who's house is in the process of becoming black and purple Roccoco set.
Chrissy and Francine which; I know I know; Polka dot furniture in their respective colors.
Punchy (When I get him back) Is going to be black and blue astro set.
Ankha will probably keep her house for now.
Since Bam is a jock I thought to do it hosue up really nice and fancy but have a few 'jockish' things here and there. Not how is house is currently because it's ugly.

I don't have ideas yet for Julian, goldie or rosie or mira yet.

Note: I do try to make their houses how I think they would like them! ex. Whitneys favorite color is Purple and Punchys is Blue. I just don't like how they have random bugs/fish/fossils..

So yeah! Does anyone have any pictures of villagers houses they've customized? Or any idea's that you would do to your villagers houses. Or do you prefer them to keep their houses just as they are

I'm trying to decide what I want to do with them right now, tbh. A lot of my villagers weren't original when I got them, so I can really do whatever I want. I think it would be really cool to give them sets that would look good, but I also like them all to be original. But honestly, when it comes down to it, I'm too lazy to really attempt anything right now.

i like to start on one villager at a time. When I customize whitneys items I drop them by my house so when I see her I can pick them all up and if she asks for something I have it. Also.. It is good to do one at a time since sometimes they don't put the item in their house or in the right spot. I always make sure my retail is fully stocked with items they wont buy set at 999,999 once you get used to it it's really fun and cute to see them in such nice looking homes ^_^

But some villagers houses already are near perfect, like I've seen merangues and it's pretty nice just needs minor changes here and there

Peggy's house was destroyed when I got her ((wifi pool void)) ... with no matching anything... No idea what her original home looks like but trying to give her ranch items now... I think they will match her floor and walls well?

But I got her to put a staircase draw thing that name I can't remember in place of one of the screens in her home ... and I want to have her put a pond in place of one of the fire pits...

Mainly because I try to get their pictures so I always end up giving them bugs and fish xD. When I first started playing I tried to change Stitches' house with all the spooky furniture, but realized that they don't change their wallpaper or flooring, and that some of the furniture they never switch out. Now I try to make sure he has toys or whatever in his house that will fit with his wallpaper and carpet

Yup... His house originally has the regal vanity, bookcase, bed, table, and sofa if I recall correctly...
I gave him a customized regal lamp blue... and his room has the prettiest glow to it now. ^-^
...
I also gave him blue roses that he put in place of his star globe, too.

Or idk, can they change their wall and floor? All I know is that I sent the spooky wall/floor to him a couple times and all he did was give it or sell it back to me. Maybe he didn't want me turning his house into a spooky house

Nope I don't, but I've been thinking of doing so. I might try to but it'll be hard to decide what sort of furniture for each house. >~<
I'm not really bothered by the houses anyways.

I'm trying to get Rosie to sell me her polka dot furniture right now so that I can customize it in pink and send it back. I've got her couch, but as of now, that's it. I did get her to sell me her bathtub, and now that's pink. I may start sending Pudge kiddie furniture if he screws his house up. Right now, that's the only idea I have for my villagers' houses. I normally don't do much unless their house is completely awful where they've replaced stuff, or pieces of their default furniture are really mismatched in color (Peanut's house is the worst).

I've tried to, but it's really hard to get them to put the furniture in the proper spots. It's also really hard to get them to keep the furniture.

If I ever get more time to do so in the summer, I might try to put in a greater effort, but for now, it's been a bit of a pain.

I like my villagers to be original at first (obviously if I'm getting them for free, beggars can't be choosers) because I like to see what their default houses look like.

Then I like to make my villagers custom by changing stuff about their clothes and houses. I take every opportunity to give them stuff that would look in their houses and replace items I dislike, I send them things in the mail, and so on. The only times I don't do it is if I think house looks good as is or only with minor touches.

I like fish and bugs in their houses, I just don't like fossils in there as much because they make it look cluttered.

Like you, I tend to work on them one at a time unless an opportunity comes up to give a villager furniture.

I've found that swapping out the items in Re-Tail for overpriced fruit helps in keeping them the way I want them too.

That thread was what gave me inspiration do start customizing. I only recently started though. My first target is Erik. I want to give him the mush wallpaper and wildflower floor, so it's like a meadow clearing in a forest. And I know he already has the cabin series, but I'm customizing it to have the birch wood and night sky tee fabric. I think it will be more like the kind of foresty look a deer would like. Plus I gave him a pile of leaves.

Thank would be adorable. Diana looks like she'd be the type to own that! Customizing my villagers rooms make me want to visit more and take cute pictures!

Also, I see you have bam.. Can you think of anything at ALL that would look good with his wall/floor. -____- Maybe the robo set with some of the wrestling clothes in there. idk.

my favourite that I've customized is definitely Marina's!! I'm so glad she actually replaced everything I wanted her to haha

I also changed Flurry's a little bit hehe (excuse Rudy lol)

I customized Beau's house with green furniture refurbished grass green too, but unfortunately I can't find the pics I took atm;;
