Hi !
Although i've played a lot of Nintendo franchises, i've never really got into Zelda (Yes i know it's atrocious of me).
But i want your opinion on which game or series of Zelda games i should start with and/or which one your favourite is ! :D

What systems do you have? I've only played two Zelda games myself, but I really love the series. Wind Waker HD on the Wii U was really good. I also really enjoyed Twilight Princess on the Gamecube.

I would say that Wind Waker is probably the best to start off with since it's not that difficult but still a great game.

Twilight Princess is my favorite though :)

Windwaker is a personal favorite and its a good starting game! Definitely wouldn't recommend something like Majoras mask or ocarina of time until you've gotten used to the feel of the game.

Yeah, I'd agree with this. I grew up watching my brother play OoT and MM, but the first game I actually played was Twilight Princess, which I think is a pretty good starting game. Wind Waker is good as well, and then you can work your way back through the series.

If you can, I'd try to get MM and OoT on the N64 or the virtual console. I didn't enjoy MM3D a whole lot, which I think is because it felt weird being on a handheld. That might just be because I've played the original versions, though.

I'd go with Ocarina of Time, but Wind Waker is definitely a good choice if you want an easier game first.

Wind Waker is a good start. My favorite is A Link to the Past and I also like Link's Awakening a lot too.

The only Zelda I ever truly played and know much about is Four Swords Adventures and I LOVED that game. It's even better if you have multiple friends (but it was way too hard to setup successfully).
I know stuff about Link's Awakening too, but I can't say whether or not to reccomend it. I only know much about it because cameos EVERYWHERE zel.

Otherwise, I've never pulled myself to play zelda games, so yeah...!!! *Sudden realization*

I'd suggest Link Between Worlds! It's really easy and still fun. I saw an Amazon review that said under "who is this product not recommended for" "people who are allergic to joy". I completely agree.

I like Majora's Mask, Wind Waker, Twilight Princess, and the underrated Skyward Sword. Most of those are newer releases or were remade so it should be easy to get them.

(edit: would start with ww)

I'd start with twilight princess, wind waker, skyward sword or ocarina of time 3D. They're all pretty good and decent. Just don't start with A link between worlds coz it sucks.

Also twilight princess is my fav.

Oooo another good starting game! Completely forgot about this!

I am begging you, on my knees, as a lifetime mlg zelda player to not start with a link between worlds

May I ask why you don't like it?
Sure. I just found it really tedious at times, and also generally Zelda handhelds aren't as good as Zelda console games. It felt really small and limiting as far as the map and levels go. Sidequests are pretty boring and not easy to find for beginners. Compared to other Zelda games it's just ...bad. Controls are pretty lame. Storyline was not so good either. Also ALBW is really disliked by a lot of people I know, and I think maybe they should start with one of the more popular ones.

I know you weren't asking me, but it's a game drastically different from other Zelda games and if you want to get into the series, you shouldn't play the one that's super different.

So that's why you should start with Link's Crossbow Training. It isn't as long as other Zelda games, but it'll help train you for when you get to the other, more challenging games. (jk Wind Waker is the best to start off with.)

I actually started Legend of Zelda with Ocarina of Time 3D and got stuck early on. I played A Link Between Worlds and that's the furthest I've gotten on a Legend of Zelda main game. Don't know what's wrong with you guys, the game seemed fun for me.

Other than that, I don't usually play Legend of Zelda games cause they are too complex for me to care about them. I did enjoy Hyrule Warriors though.
