I'm making a custom-design sign for my town, and I'm not sure if i should write "No Running" or "Please Walk" i don't know which phrase I should choose lol! what's your opinion?
Which would you rather see on a sign?

I prefer "Please Walk" over "No Running."

"Please walk" is pleading.
"No running." is commanding.
"Please" also doesn't get taken very seriously, most times.
Street signs and warning signs in real life don't say "please"...

If I was making one, and it'd fit, I'd put "Slow your roll" lol.

Please walk sounds more nice in my opinion c:
I think "walking only zone" would sound better than the two you suggested. Then it's not too pleading/demanding 
^^ This is good. Out of your two though, I'd say no running.
"Please Walk" sounds a lot more polite than "No Running." But it doesn't sound as commanding so people may not take it too seriously.
Personally though I'd recommend going for "Don't Run." The reason being that it's commanding and also short thus easy to read whereas "please walk" and "no running" are longer phrases which would require smaller/harder to read fonts in order to be fit into the tiny custom sign.

Depends on how much stuff you don't want to get ruined by people. No Running sounds like you'll wreck someones day if they trample your flowers. Please Walk sounds like you'll just forgive them and seethe on the inside.

How about "No Running, please"?
I don't believe it would fit and still be legible.
Plus, "please" is not serious, anyway.
That's the dilemma.

I don't know. I'm new, but I'd figure if a sign said "no running," anyone who planned on running is going to run anyway. Same with "please walk." Maybe I'm a big softie, but I'd probably smile at a "please walk" reminder. It seems nicer and more forgiving and I'd feel less terrible if I accidentally ran knowing that it's.. I dunno, I was politely told/reminded vs. ordered. My vote is for either (but I'd smile and feel nicer about the "please walk" sign if I saw it).

I would do niether. Polite visitors will walk anyway. Rude visitors won't care if theres a sign or not.
I would personally do something fun or cute.
"Smile"- Have a happy face, flowers, rainbow, or just something nice.
I seen a town that had a fairy garden sign.
One of my towns has a " just dandy " sign with dandilions all around it.
Another town of mine has a " bee happy " sign. It's next to my honey bees house.
Anyway, those are just a few ideas. If you go with the running sign. I would choose " please walk ".
