I really hope that most of the villagers will be making it back. With each new game I think there is more memory which allows for more villagers. There's someone out there who loves each villager so no matter who they drop, they will be making someone sad. I would love for even more variety of villagers to be added!

Well, if you think of it, they don't do double birthdays. Each villager has to have a birthday right?!?! So, in order to get new ones, we have to lose some.

But since we just got the Hamsters and Deer I'm expecting those to stay for at least another game. I'm hoping for more octopi so I can do an all octopi town!~ (What a dream XD)

I'm also thinking at least half of the cats will come back because there's 20+ of them, and cats are a big hit. I don't see many of the dogs at all popular, probably from their design. It's a little different, and doesn't look TO uch like a dog to me.

I also kind of want the "Shy"/"Scared" personality to arrive! I mean some of them are shy at first anyway, but you could do tasks to help the villager become unscared and stuff! But that's a little far from the concept of the game.

Also, last thing! Julian is a pretty big hit, so I'm expecting at least one more Unicorn villager.
(octopi/unicorn only town? WHAT a dream. XD )

One more thing is, I want there to be another Uchi cat. Like Katts nice, but not when my plot resetting went wrong and I need another freakin uchi cat so I don't have to plot reset.

Agreed, Diva is a gorgeous gal. I hope they add a few more female frogs, a peppy deer, a new lady octopus, and a smug cat. I know that's not what OP asked but I can't help myself lol ^_^
