I've chosen some random villagers to see which one is most popular. I will do this often with underrated villagers to find out which underrated villagers people like most. I'm doing this for a personal project which I may end up sharing depending how it turns out. All you need to do is choose your favourite and if you want you could reply to the thread and tell me why!

I like Drift. I'm a bit biased because I like jocks. But design wise, I like him and he looks cute.

Claude because of his smirk. I really want him on my island, but I have Gaston and I'm limiting myself to just one of each species.

I voted for Maelle. I remember her from my first ever town and I really liked her, and I hadn't gotten her since until a few months ago in my most recent WW town, although she kind of irked me after asking me for a shirt for days and then as soon as I got it in the mail after ordering it, she forgot about it. That being said, I still like her and I think her design is pretty cool. The only other one that comes close is Drift, who I also like but I just never get too attached to the frogs for some reason.

RIP Anicotti
I hated her so much when she moved into my New Leaf town and couldn't wait for her to move out. There's just something about the mice I really don't like and I love rodents in real life, but I think it's the way most of the mice's eyes are placed

Out of this group, I like Sparro the best. I had him in new leaf at one point, I really like his design and he's a pretty cool bird.

Claude, my baby!

I played Wild World and New Leaf. Was never particularly fond of bunnies. (I like wolves and tigers and cats. Wait. I see a pattern!) They're too cute for me.

Many people will look at any villager with a unibrow or too much hair or protruding teeth (features not typically considered as beautiful) and say, nope! Now, Claude not only has a unibrow, he's always looking to the side, which makes him seem shifty and suspicious, and his half-lidded eyes add to the impression. But once I started talking to him, I was won over by his earnestness! He's so passionate, even about the bugs. I love anyone who is not afraid to be passionate for whatever it is they enjoy. Claude has no ego. He's childlike, he's always about food and sharing everything he has with the bugs and before I knew it, he's completely endeared himself to me and I was looking forward to talking with him every day.

Also, when he asks you if you want to learn a new DIY recipe, he leans forward and his half-lidded eyes open to become wide as saucers... it's sooooo adorable!

Edit: Corrected myself.

If you are going to do multiples of these, I would suggest adding pictures and their personalities in your post for people to use as a reference.

Drift because I love the frogs and think he looks really cute!! Claude is cute too but I instantly went with Drift on the poll.

RIP Anicotti

I feel like the mice are unfortunately shaped. I can picture them being shaped differently and having much more potential to be popular. Oh well.

Yes! I feel like if most of them didn't have long heads and close together eyes, they'd be more popular (maybe they'll introduce a new mouse? That would be fun!)
I really would like more of the mice if they were just slightly different looking!
