I hope the dominant strategy isn't Yoshi on the teddy buggy with the roller wheels again, due to the stat distribution.

We won't really know what the meta combo for World will be, but for what we know, Knockout Tour may be speed due to long straightaways. And there's lots of boost panels too, knowing the World Record for Moonview Highway using the max ground speed combo, which is Funky, B Dasher, Slick and Super Glider may also be the same for Knockout Tour as well.
And do you know who is the fastest character in World so far? Bowser! He has the highest speed stat in Mario Kart World, we know it through here: And due to that, it may seem like Bowser will be the best character in Knockout Tour, unless there are better characters to use in his own similar stats, then it would be used more.

Would you know how they found out about the hidden mini-turbo stat? While I hope the Switch 2 is far from being datamined, I don't like hidden stats.

I have no plans to get the switch 2 atm, but when I do, I may consider giving this a try. I voted cow for now largely because of @Xara who I know loves the cow so much. It looks so silly but so fun to try. Normally, when I played Mario Kart, I’d pick Isabelle but she’s not in the game right now. For general Mario games, I used to pick Yoshi all the time but I think now I would want to try playing other characters. I’d love it if Monty Mole got added too

Don't know when I'll get a Switch 2 considering all the economic uncertainty, the chaotic flux of the tariffs, etc. but I plan to get one eventually. So, whenever that happens...
Ideally, I would like to main either King Boo, Dry Bones or the Penguin; King Boo and Dry Bones because I like spooky stuff and like to use (King) Boo and Dry Bones in games where they're optional playable characters, and Penguin because birds are my favorite animals and penguins are among my absolute favorites alongside crows and ravens.
It will depend on the game mechanics and meta to see if any of them are viable. Hopefully at least one of them is somewhat competitive and I'd focus on whichever one is the best of the three. I'll be frank though, I don't really get the stats and just looked up the best kart builds back in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe to try to make up some of the skill difference between me and the talented people on here.
Might just end up just looking at the eventual character tier lists, see who the best ones are, and choose my favorite among the top tier or two. I'm pretty unreliable in Mario Kart, so I need all the help I can get, haha.

Daisy. Growing up I always mained Yoshi. Though would play Daisy on the odd occasion. Starting with 7 and 8 (Wii U) I used Rosalina. 8 Deluxe I switched to Green Inkling due to being a huge Splatoon fan. Starting with World I want to give Daisy a true go plus I’ve really grown fond of her character lately.
He is such a little guy in the new art style im dying to give him a propeller hat and lollipop

Mainly penguin right now. I'm trying to unlock fish bone. I also have done a bit of Toad and Toadette. I may switch it up for competitive play once a meta is found.
